Ricardo Andorinho
Ricardo José da Costa Andorinho (born 14 November 1976) is a former Portuguese handball player. Biography One of the best Portuguese players of his generation, Andorinho played for Sporting CP, from 1994 to 2004. He then moved to SDC San Antonio, in Spain, where he played the rest of his career. In 2004, Andorinho suffered a budgetary restructuring which led him to move to San Antonio of Spain where he played until 2008. Due to a serious injury, he finished his career at the age of 31. Évora ( , ) is a city and a municipality in Portugal. It has 53,591 inhabitants (2021), in an area of 1307.08 km2. Sociedad Deportiva Cultural San Antonio was a Spanish handball team based in Pamplona, Navarra. The team was based in Spain. In July 2012, the team resigned from the Liga ASOBAL for the 2012–13 season due to the failure to find a new sponsor, being demoted two divisions (to Primera Estatal). After an uncertain few weeks, its spot in Primera Estatal was transferred to BM Ardoi, therefore, the club no longer owned any sporting team. In April 2013, when the bankruptcy process finished, SDC San Antonio was officially liquidated. The Portuguese men's national handball team is governed by the Portuguese Handball Federation and competes in international competitions such as the European Men's Handball Championship and the IHF World Men's Handball Championship. The IHF Men's Handball World Championship has been organized indoor by the International Handball Federation since 1938. In the twenty-seven tournaments held, eleven nations have won the title. France is the most successful team with six titles, followed by Sweden and Romania with four titles each. The current champion is Denmark, which won its second title at the 2021 tournament in Egypt.
