Rewa Football Club is a Fijian semi-professional football club based in Nausori, playing in the National Football League. Rewa's home ground is Vodafone Ratu Cakobau Park Rewa is a pretty successful club in Fiji. They have won many tournaments throughout their history and finally won their first ever national league title in 2022. History A league competition was organised in Rewa for the first time in 1928, although football was known to be played in the area since 1916. In 1928, two teams from Rewa, Dilkusha Excelsior Football Club and Rewa Football Club took part in competition organised by the Suva based Indian Reform League for the Vriddhi Cup. The other two teams were from Suva. Dilkusha won the trophy and repeated its success in 1929 and 1930. Having won the trophy three times in a row, Dilkusha was allowed to permanently keep the trophy and the competition came to end. Vodafone Ratu Cakobau Park
Ratu Cakobau Park, known as Vodafone Ratu Cakobau Park for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-use stadium located in Nausori, Fiji. It is currently used for association football, rugby union and American football matches and hosts the home games of Fiji association football clubs Rewa F.C. and Tailevu/Naitasiri F.C. as well as the games of American football team Tailevu Knights. The stadium has a capacity of 8,000. Ratu Cakobau Park was scheduled to host an international match on the 16 August 2011, Fiji against Samoa with both men and women's national teams in friendly action. However, bad weather left the pitch in an unplayable condition and the matches were moved to Thomson Park, Navua. Patrick Joseph (footballer)
Patrick Joseph (born 3 May 1998) is a Fijian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Fijian club Nadi and the Fiji national team. Club career Joseph came through the youth ranks of Nadi. In 2016 he made his debut for the first team. The first tournament that Joseph participated in was the Vodafone Fiji Fact in May 2017. In 2019 Joseph won his first prize for Nadi by winning the Fiji FACT in 2019. Joseph was named as Most Valuable Player of the tournament. National team In 2019 Joseph was called up by coach Christophe Gamel for the Fiji national football team. He made his debut on March 18, 2019, in a 3–0 win against New Caledonia. Iosefo Verevou
Iosefo Verevou (born 5 January 1996) is a Fijian footballer who plays as a forward for Rewa in the Fiji National Football League. Early career Verevou started playing football at an early age and was a star football player for his high school team Saraswati College in Nausori. He came up through the Rewa FC youth system and made his first team debut at the age of 14. With this feat he became the youngest player to play for a semi-professional football team in Fiji. After 7 years at Rewa, he seemed to move to Suva in January 2018 however at the end of January the move was cancelled for an unclear reason. International career Verevou was a member of Fiji's U-20 national team at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand. Kavaia Rawaqa (born 20 September 1990) is a Fijian footballer who plays as a defender for Fijian club Lautoka and the Fiji national team. Club career Rawaqa started his career with Labasa. After he played for Lautoka, Nadi, again Labasa, he now plays for Lautoka. With the club, he won the 2017 Fiji National Football League.
