Patrick Joseph (footballer)
Patrick Joseph (born 3 May 1998) is a Fijian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Fijian club Nadi and the Fiji national team. Club career Joseph came through the youth ranks of Nadi. In 2016 he made his debut for the first team. The first tournament that Joseph participated in was the Vodafone Fiji Fact in May 2017. In 2019 Joseph won his first prize for Nadi by winning the Fiji FACT in 2019. Joseph was named as Most Valuable Player of the tournament. National team In 2019 Joseph was called up by coach Christophe Gamel for the Fiji national football team. He made his debut on March 18, 2019, in a 3–0 win against New Caledonia. He came in for Dave Radrigai in the 69th minute of play. After his debut Joseph was included in Gamel's squad for the 2019 Pacific Games were Joseph and his teammates managed to win a bronze medal. Nadi
Nadi (pronounced ) is the third-largest conurbation in Fiji. It is located on the western side of the main island of Viti Levu, and had a population of 42,284 at the most recent census, in 2007. A 2012 estimate showed that the population had grown to over 50,000. Nadi is multiracial with many of its inhabitants Asians, Indian or Indigenous Fijians, along with a large transient population of foreign tourists. The Solomon Islands national football team is the national football team of the Solomon Islands, administered by the Solomon Islands Football Federation. The men's football tournament at the 2019 Pacific Games was held from 8 to 20 July 2019. It was the 15th edition of the men's Pacific Games football tournament. Together with the women's competition, all matches were played at the J.S. Blatter Stadium in Apia, Samoa. Unlike the men's football competition at the 2015 Pacific Games where only under-23 athletes were eligible to compete, this tournament was not age-restricted and thus was open to senior men's national teams. Dave Radrigai (born 15 March 1990) is a Fijian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Lautoka in the Fiji National Football League. Club career Radrigai started his career with Lautoka. In 2014 he moved to Suva to play in the OFC Champions League with them. In 2016 he returned to Lautoka. In 2017 he won the 2017 Fiji National Football League with Lautoka, the first title in 8 years for the baby blues. Christophe Gamel (born 11 August 1972) is a French football coach who is currently head coach of Malaysia Super League club Sri Pahang FC. Coaching career Gamel played semi-professionally for various French and Italian clubs while coaching youth football teams.
