Resort Municipality, officially named the Resort Municipality of Stanley Bridge, Hope River, Bayview, Cavendish and North Rustico, is the lone municipality in Prince Edward Island, Canada that holds resort municipality status. It was established in 1990. History A rural resort area to the north and northwest of North Rustico, comprising several communities, was incorporated as the Resort Municipality of Stanley Bridge, Hope River, Bayview, Cavendish and North Rustico by order in council in 1990. Geography Resort Municipality is located within Queens County approximately northwest of Charlottetown. It borders the Town of North Rustico and straddles several geographic levels in the province, including the townships of Lot 21, Lot 22, Lot 23 and Lot 24 as well as the parishes of Grenville and Charlotte. Prince Edward Island

2016 Canadian Census
The 2016 Canadian census was an enumeration of Canadian residents, which counted a population of 35,151,728, a change from its 2011 population of 33,476,688. The census, conducted by Statistics Canada, was Canada's seventh quinquennial census. The official census day was May 10, 2016. Census web access codes began arriving in the mail on May 2, 2016. The 2016 census marked the reinstatement of the mandatory long-form census, which had been dropped in favour of the voluntary National Household Survey for the 2011 census. With a response rate of 98.4%, this census is said to be the best one ever recorded since the 1666 census of New France. This census was succeeded by Canada's 2021 census. Prince Edward Island Route 13
Route 13 is a two-lane uncontrolled access secondary highway traversing the central portion of Prince Edward Island, Canada in a more or less north–south direction between Crapaud and Cavendish. It passes through a mainly rural area of Prince Edward Island. A portion of Route 13 (south of Hunter River) is commonly called the "Hopalong Road." There is an important intersection with Route 2 at Hunter River. Prince Edward Island Route 6 is a secondary highway in central Prince Edward Island. Route 6 begins in Kensington at the junction of Routes 2 and 20, bearing east. Green Gables Heritage Place is a 19th century farm and literary landmark in Cavendish, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Green Gables served as the setting for the '' Anne of Green Gables'' novels by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Green Gables is recognized as a Federal Historic Building by the government of Canada and is situated on the L.M. Montgomery's Cavendish National Historic Site of Canada. The National Historic Site itself is situated on Prince Edward Island National Park. The building was initially erected during the 1830s, by the MacNeil family, relatives of Montgomery, who was born nearby the homestead. Interest in the Green Gables property grew in the decades after Montgomery published her novels, resulting in Green Gables' purchase by the government of Canada in 1936.
