	Requiem (Paus) Requiem is a chamber work for bass and piano based on the traditional Catholic requiem and written by Norwegian composer Marcus Paus with text by his father, Ole Paus. It was premièred in 2014. It was included on the album ''Requiem/Trisyn/Læreren som ikke ble'' alongside '' The Teacher Who Was Not To Be''. The requiem consists of seven parts: Introitus, Graduale, Dies Irae, Offertorium, Agnus Dei, Libera Me and In Paradisum. 	Ole Paus Ole Paus (born 9 February 1947; full name ''Ole Christian Paus'') is a Norwegian singer, songwriter, poet and author, who is widely regarded as the foremost troubadour of the contemporary Norwegian ballad tradition ( no, visebølgen). During the 1970s Paus was known for his biting social commentary, especially in his ironic and sometimes libellous "musical newspapers" in the form of broadside ballads in a series of albums titled "The Paus Post". It premiered at the concert "Paus & Paus" with works by Marcus Paus and Ole Paus in the Atrium of the University of Oslo as part of the Oslo Opera Festival on 12 October 2013, with opera singer Knut Stiklestad in the role of the eponymous "Teacher."
