''Reptilectric'' is the fourth studio album by Mexican rock band Zoé (band), Zoé, released in October 2008 through EMI Music. It was produced by Phil Vinall, who had previously worked with Radiohead and Placebo (band), Placebo. The album debuted at number one on the Mexican sales charts and became Zoé's second platinum album for its 80,000 copies sold in Mexico alone. On November 25, 2009, Zoé received three Premios OYE! for Album, Group, and Video of Year. In February 2009, a poll was held in order to decide which song would be the album's second single. Zoé is a Grammy Award and Latin Grammy Award-winning Mexican rock band. It was initially formed in Mexico City in 1994, although membership started to stabilize in 1997. The band has achieved success in Mexico and most Spanish-speaking countries with albums such as ''Rocanlover'', ''Memo Rex Commander y el Corazón Atómico de la Vía Láctea'' and ''Reptilectric''. Memo Rex Commander y el Corazón Atómico de la Vía Láctea (''Memo Rex Commander and the Atomic Heart of the Milky Way'') is the third studio album by Mexican rock band Zoé. Placebo (band)
Placebo are a British rock band, formed in London in 1994 by vocalist–guitarist Brian Molko and bassist–guitarist Stefan Olsdal. Drummer Robert Schultzberg joined in late 1994, but left in 1996 shortly after the release of the band's eponymous debut album due to conflicts with Molko, and was replaced the same year by Steve Hewitt. Following the release of a demo, a split single, and their eponymous debut album, Placebo gained exposure in 1997 after the single " Nancy Boy" became popular in the UK, a song notorious at the time for its gender-bending content.
