René Alleau
René Alleau (1917 – 18 October 2013) was a French author, historian and consulting engineer. The focus of his numerous works are symbology and alchemy, the occult and secret societies. As well as his own works, he contributed articles in these fields to the '' Encyclopædia Universalis''. Biography Alleau was the director of the ''Bibliotheca hermetica'' collection at the French publishing house '' Éditions Denoël''. The aim of this project was to republish ancient works of esotericism and make them available to purchase. Alleau contributed to the ''Planète'' magazine of Louis Pauwels and Jacques Bergier (authors of ''The Morning of the Magicians''). In his later life he wrote online articles for ''Symbole'' associated with Frédérick Tristan and which focused heavily on the works of René Guénon. A symbol is a mark, sign, or word that indicates, signifies, or is understood as representing an idea, object, or relationship. Symbols allow people to go beyond what is known or seen by creating linkages between otherwise very different concepts and experiences. Jean Robin (born 1946) is a French writer, essayist, and conspiracy theorist particularly interested in occult and esoteric issues, secret societies, and their influence throughout history. Biography It was at the beginning of his career at Éditions Robert Laffont that Jean Robin discovered René Guénon's writings. He subsequently produced the text (''René Guénon témoin de la Tradition'', 1978), and has continued to make reference to the latter's work in other essays (''Le Royaume du Graal, ''1992; ''Veilleur, où en est la nuit'' (2000); '' H.P. Lovecraft et le secret des adorateurs du Serpent'' 2017). Jorge Camacho (painter)
Jorge R. Camacho Lazo (January 5, 1934 – March 30, 2011) was a Cuban painter. Born in Havana in 1934, Camacho left his law studies in 1951 to dedicate himself to painting despite the fact that he never studied art. By the end of the 1940s, Camacho and his friend, Carlos M. Luis were well versed in contemporary painting. It was Carlos who introduced him to the paintings of Paul Klee, Joan Miró, Yves Tanguy and Giorgio de Chirico. In 1953, Camacho travelled to Mexico, where he lived for a year and met his colleague José Luis Cuevas- they both investigated the sources of Mayan culture. Camacho's first major influence was the Wifredo Lam exhibit at the University of Havana in 1955. Camacho was also influenced by the paintings of Rufino Tamayo and Francis Bacon. Marina Scriabine
Marina Scriabina (30 January 1911 - 28 April 1998) was a Russian artist, author, composer and musicologist, who was the daughter of composer Alexander Scriabin and Tatiana Schlözer. Scriabina was born in Moscow. She had two older siblings, Ariadna and Julian, and four older half-siblings from her father’s first marriage. After her father’s death in 1915, she lived with her mother in Moscow and Kiev before going to Belgium to live with her maternal grandmother. In 1927, Scriabina moved to Paris to study art at the Ecole Nationale des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. She also studied music theory with Rene Leibowitz and worked with electronic techniques at Radiodiffusion Francaise, ultimately earning a doctorate in aesthetics in 1967.
