Football Club Reno is a Jamaican football team based in Savanna-la-Mar, the capital of the parish of Westmoreland, in western Jamaica. Their home stadium is Frome Sports Club, which can hold a capacity of up to 2,000. The club was known as Reno FC until 2015, when the name was reworked to FC Reno. History Reno were Jamaican champions three times in the 1990s. After over 10 years in the NPL, they were relegated to the Western Super League in 2009, only to return in 2010 after a year in the second division. They were, however, relegated again in 2012. Savanna-la-Mar
Savanna-la-Mar (commonly known as Sav-la-Mar, or simply Sav) is the chief town and capital of Westmoreland Parish, Jamaica. A coastal town, it contains an 18th-century fort constructed for colonial defence against pirates in the Caribbean. History Savanna-la-Mar was originally established as a settlement in Spanish Jamaica. In 1780, the town was completely destroyed by a powerful hurricane known as Savanna-la-Mar hurricane. It was rebuilt, as the port was important to the Atlantic slave trade as well as the sugar trade. After Great Britain abolished slavery in 1833 and before the abolition of slavery in the United States in 1865, officials of the Caribbean colonies would sometimes order the examination of enslaved people that were held captive on American ships that came to its Caribbean ports. Jamaica

Wendell Downswell (born 5 February 1958) the current Jamaica youth national team technical director as well as the technical director of Jamaica Playing career High school and college Downswell was born Savannah-la-Mar, Jamaica. He played for and attended St. Elizabeth Technical High School in Jamaica. He then completed his degree in Physical Education at G.C. Foster College in Spanish Town, Jamaica. He also pursuing a master's degree at the UWI, Mona. Professional Downswell played for Reno F.C. in the Jamaica National Premiere League as a winger. 2018–19 National Premier League
The 2018–19 National Premier League is the 45th season of the National Premier League, the top division football competition in Jamaica. The season began on 16 September 2018 and will end on 29 April 2019. Portmore United are the defending champions, having won their 6th title last season. Teams Sandals South Coast FC and Boys' Town finished 11th and 12th in last season's competition and were relegated to their respective regional Super Leagues, the Western Super League and KSAFA Super League respectively. At the end of last season, the champions of the four Super Leagues participated in a promotion playoff double round robin tournament. Dunbeholden F.C. and Mount Pleasant Football Academy finished 1st and 2nd after the playoff and were promoted to the National Premier League for this season. The National Premier League, also known for sponsorship purposes as the Red Stripe Premier League, is sanctioned by the Jamaican Football Federation as the top division for men's association football in Jamaica. Contested between 12 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Jamaica's regional Super Leagues where the two lowest placed teams are relegated to their corresponding local second division league. History The National Premier League was formed in 1973 to serve as the top tier of Jamaican professional club football. Westmoreland, Jamaica
Westmoreland is the westernmost parish in Jamaica, located on the south side of the island. It is situated south of Hanover, southwest of Saint James, and northwest of Saint Elizabeth, in the county of Cornwall. The chief town and capital is Savanna-la-Mar. Negril, a famous tourist destination, is also situated in the parish. History The earliest inhabitants of Westmoreland were the Arawak and Ciboney Indians. The Ciboney were first to arrive, from the coast of South America, around 500 BC. Known as "cave dwellers", they lived along the cliffs of Negril. The labyrinth of caves and passageways beneath what is now the Xtabi Hotel in Negril are one of the first known settlements of Ciboney Indians in Jamaica. The Captain's Bakery Western Confederation Super League is a second division football league in the nation of Jamaica. The twelve teams that currently compete in the league are based in the parishes of Hanover, St. James, Trelawny and Westmoreland. At the end of each season the winners qualify for the National Premier League Playoff along with the winners of the KSAFA Super League, South Central Confederation Super League and Eastern Confederation Super League. The JFF Champions Cup, known since 2009 as the Flow Champions Cup, is an annual knockout tournament in Jamaican football.
