Renata Mauro (born Renata Maraolo; 17 May 1934 – 28 March 2009) was an Italian singer, actress and television presenter for RAI, the Italian state broadcaster. She became known to international audiences for hosting game show ''Jeux Sans Frontières'' 1967 to 1970 and the when it was held in the Italian city of Naples in 1965. ''The Shortest Day'' ( it, Il giorno più corto) is a 1963 Italian comedy film. It is a parody of the war movie '' The Longest Day'' and stars the popular duo Franco and Ciccio in the leading roles. Dozens of other well-known actors, from both European and American cinema, agreed to appear in the movie in cameo roles for free to avert the bankruptcy of the production company, Titanus. Josiane Shen is a former Luxembourgers, Luxembourgish television presenter. She is best known for hosting the Eurovision Song Contest in . Career Having earned a degree in journalism, Shen spent her entire career as a television presenter with RTL9, Télé-Luxembourg. She is best known for presenting the Eurovision Song Contest in Luxembourg in , which she presented entirely in French language, French with the exception of the voting procedure. Shen is best remembered for accidentally greeting the United Kingdom during the voting procedure with "Good night, London", instead of "Good evening, London", to which the British spokesperson, Michael Aspel, replied "Good morning, Luxembourg". Lotte Wæver (born 17 February 1942) is a Danish former actress and television presenter. She is best known for hosting the Eurovision Song Contest in . Career Television During her time in university, Wæver worked as one of the first female continuity announcers in Danmarks Radio (DR). She is best known for presenting the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen in 1964, a position for which she says she was chosen over her peers because of her willingness to do it. The contest was famously overshadowed by a political protest from a man who trespassed onto the stage holding a banner reading "Boycott Franco and Salazar". This page is a list of people who have acted as presenters of the contest. Since 1988, it has been the norm to have at least two presenters for the contest.
