Reluciente, Rechinante Y Aterciopelado
''Reluciente, Rechinante y Aterciopelado'' is the first live album by Colombian band Aterciopelados. It was recorded before a live audience of 140 guests in Bogotá, Colombia, on June 2, 2015 and released as a CD and DVD on April 22, 2016. Directed by Roberto de Zubiría and produced by Rafael Arcaurte the album includes featured performances by León Larregui, Spanish singer Macaco, Goyo (ChocQuibTown) and Catalina García (Monsieur Perine). The proposal to record a concert film came from Sony Music Colombia after the band's comeback concert at Rock al Parque 2014. After almost two months of rehearsals the concert was recorded. The album contains songs from their previous albums '' El Dorado'', ''La Pipa de la Paz'', '' Caribe Atómico'' and '' Gozo Poderoso'' as well as songs from solo projects by the members of the band. Aterciopelados
Aterciopelados ( en, The Velvet Ones), also known as Los Aterciopelados, is a rock band from Colombia, led by Andrea Echeverri and Héctor Buitrago. Their music fuses rock with a variety of Colombian and Latin American musical traditions. Aterciopelados have recorded eight albums. The group has won four Latin Grammy Awards from eight nominations, including Best Alternative Album in 2007 for '' Oye'', as well as four Grammy Award nominations. Their song "Bolero Falaz" topped Canal Viva Colombia's list of the 1,000 most important songs of Colombian rock, and several more of their songs also made the list, including "Maligno", "El Estuche", "Mujer Gala" and "Sortilegio". Café Tacuba
Café Tacvba (Pronounced ''kaˈfe taˈkuβa'') is a band from Ciudad Satélite, Mexico. The group gained popularity in the early 1990s. Macaco (band)
Macaco (Vianey) is a musical band from Barcelona, Spain formed in 1997 by Dani Carbonell, who was also one of the original lead singers of the new flamenco group Ojos de Brujo. Carbonell left Ojos de Brujo after the debut album, ''Vengue'' in 2001, but has continued to make guest appearances on the group's later albums. Prior to his singing career, Carbonell had dubbed over Sean Astin's character Mikey Walsh in the 1985 film The Goonies. The members, from different countries such as Brazil, Cameroon, Sweden, Venezuela and Spain, give to its music a mixed colour, with electro accents of Latin music and rumba. Carbonell sings in Spanish and Catalan, but also in Portuguese, French, English and Italian. ''Re'' is the second studio album by Mexican rock band Café Tacuba, released in 1994. The album has been called "the equivalent of The Beatles' '' White Album'' for the rock en español movement" by ''The New York Times''. In 2012, ''Rolling Stone'' ranked it at number one on its list of "The 10 Greatest Latin Rock Albums of All Time". Legacy ''Re'' album established Café Tacuba's style of genre-switching, which had not been as prominent on their debut album ''Café Tacuba'', released two years earlier. Andrea Echeverri
Andrea Echeverri Arias (born September 13, 1965) is a Colombian rock/ pop singer and guitarist. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from University of Los Andes and was a ceramist before becoming a musician. She is the lead singer in Aterciopelados where she also plays the acoustic guitar. In March 2005 her debut solo album ''Andrea Echeverri'' was released by Nacional Records, a label focused on promoting the best in Latin alternative music. Héctor Buitrago
Héctor Buitrago is the co-member of the multiple Grammy winning Colombian Latin alternative band Aterciopelados. Buitrago came from a hardcore rock background, heading a group called La Pestilencia, while co-member Andrea Echeverri had been drawn into the fledgling scene through art school friends. Buitrago and Echeverri went on to open one of Bogota's only rock clubs, and their relationship is one Latin rock's most successful artistic partnerships. ChocQuibTown
ChocQuibTown (sometimes written as Choc Quib Town) is a Colombian hip-hop group that fuses various musical genres. Although the band formed in Cali, the members are originally from the Colombian department of Chocó. The group consists of Carlos "Tostao" Valencia (rapping), Gloria "Goyo" Martínez (singing and rapping), and Miguel "Slow" Martínez (production and rapping). The band's music draws influence from a wide variety of modern genres including hip-hop and more recently electronica, combined with traditional Colombian genres including salsa, Latin jazz, and Afro-Latin rhythms. Bandoneon
The bandoneon (or bandonion, es, bandoneón) is a type of concertina particularly popular in Argentina and Uruguay. It is a typical instrument in most tango ensembles. As with other members of the concertina family, the bandoneon is held between the hands, and by pulling and pushing actions force air through bellows and then routing air through particular reeds as by pressing the instrument's buttons. ''Norteño'' or ''Norteña'' (, ''northern''), also ''música norteña'', is a genre of Regional Mexican music. The music is most often based on duple and triple metre and its lyrics often deal with socially relevant topics, although there are also many norteño love songs. The accordion and the bajo sexto are traditional norteño's most characteristic instruments. Norteña music developed in the late 19th century, as a mixture between local Mexican music and Austrian-Czech-origin folk music.
