Regina Hesse
Regina Hesse (1832–1898), also Rottmann, was a Gold Coast Euro-Africans, Euro-African Teacher, schoolteacher in colonial Ghana. As an educationist, she was one of first women exemplars on the Gold Coast (British colony), Gold Coast to become a school administrator. Hesse was trained by the Demographics of Angola, Angolan-born Jamaica Province of the Moravian Church, Jamaican Moravian pioneer woman teacher, Catherine Mulgrave who set up three girls’ specialist boarding schools at Osu, Accra, Osu, Abokobi and Odumase Krobo, Odumase and was active in the women's Christian ministry in Osu, Accra, Christiansborg, Accra. The Salem School, Osu, or the Osu Presbyterian Boys’ Boarding School or simply, Osu Salem, formerly known as the Basel Mission Middle School'','' is an all boys’ residential middle or junior secondary school located in the suburb of Osu in Accra, Ghana. The Salem School was the first middle school and the first boarding school to be established in Ghana. Shai Hills
Shai Hills is a suburb near district capital Dodowa in the Dangme West District of the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, north of Accra. Shai is a plain by topography but has outcrops of hills. The hills in the Shai area is base to several stone quarries. Its vegetation is a combination of open and wooded grassland, and fauna found there include guinea fowls, antelopes, baboons and francolins. Tourism Shai Hills Resource Reserve Location Shai Hills Resource Reserve is only 51 square kilometres and is the closest wildlife park to Accra, only 17 kilometers away compared to Mole National Park and Kakum National Park. The Ga-Dangbe, Gã-Daŋbɛ, Ga-Dangme, or GaDangme are an ethnic group in Ghana, Togo and Benin. The Ga and Dangbe people are grouped respectively as part of the Ga–Dangme ethnolinguistic group. The Ga-Dangmes are one ethnic group that lives primarily in the Greater Accra of Ghana. Odumase Krobo
Krobo Odumase is a town and capital of Lower Manya Krobo Municipal District in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The Presbyterian Boys' Senior High School was formerly located here. Abokobi
Abokobi is a small town and is the capital of Ga East Municipal District, an MMDA located within the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. The settlement was founded in 1854 by missionaries of the "Basler Missionsgesellschaft" (Basel Mission) for Christian refugees, who had left Osu (the former Danish-Accra, around Christiansborg) after the British colonial government had bombarded Osu from the Sea in response to the refusal of the inhabitants to pay the newly introduced head tax. Osu, Accra
Located about east of the central business district, Osu is a neighborhood in central Accra, Ghana. It is locally known as the "West End" of Accra. Bounded to the south by the Gulf of Guinea, Osu's western boundary is the Independence Avenue. Osu is separated from the northern district of Labone by Ring Road. Due to its establishment as a settlement in the 17th century, Osu has a mix of houses dating from the early 20th century and modern office towers. Ringway Estates, a gated residential community between Gamel Abdul Nasser Avenue and Cantonments Road is located in the western section of Osu.
