Reformation Study Bible
The ''Reformation Study Bible'' (previously published as the ''New Geneva Study Bible'') is a study Bible published by Reformation Trust Publishing, a division of Ligonier Ministries. The ''Reformation Study Bible'' "aims to carry on the legacy of the Geneva Bible in shining forth the light of biblical Christianity, which was recovered in the Reformation." As of late 2021, all editions of the ''Reformation Study Bible'' feature the Bible text of the English Standard Version (ESV). History Starting in 1989, R. C. Sproul assembled a team of contributors to work on a study Bible edition that would follow a distinctively Reformed perspective. James Montgomery Boice
James Montgomery Boice (July 7, 1938 – June 15, 2000) was an American Reformed Christian theologian, Bible teacher, author, and speaker known for his writing on the authority of Scripture and the defence of Biblical inerrancy. He was also the Senior Minister of Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia from 1968 until his death. He can be heard on ''The Bible Study Hour'' radio broadcast and many of his writings are publicly available in print and online. Roger Nicole
Roger R. Edmund Prosper Clowney (July 30, 1917 – March 20, 2005) was a theology, theologian, educator, and pastor. New King James Version
The New King James Version (NKJV) is an English translation of the Bible. The complete NKJV Bible was published in 1982 by Thomas Nelson, now HarperCollins. The NKJV is described by Thomas Nelson as being "scrupulously faithful to the original, yet truly updated to enhance its clarity and readability." English Standard Version
The English Standard Version (ESV) is an English translation of the Bible. Published in 2001 by Crossway, the ESV was "created by a team of more than 100 leading evangelical scholars and pastors." The ESV relies on recently published critical editions of the original Hebrew and Greek texts. Crossway claims that the ESV continues a legacy of precision and faithfulness in English translation of the original text. It describes the ESV as a translation that "emphasizes 'word-for-word' accuracy, literary excellence, and depth of meaning."
