Red Oak High School is a 5A high school located in Red Oak, Texas, United States. It is part of the Red Oak Independent School District located in far north central Ellis County. In 2012, the school was rated "Academically Acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency. The Red Oak ISD has recently built a new facility for the school, located west and across the street from the current school. The new school also connects to nearby Texas State Highway 342, the main north-south highway through Red Oak. Louise Dorothy Ritter (born February 18, 1958) is an American former track and field athlete who won the gold medal in the high jump at the 1988 Olympic Games. Biography Ritter qualified for the 1980 U.S. Olympic team but was unable to compete due to the 1980 Summer Olympics boycott. The Houston Cougars men's basketball team represents the University of Houston in Houston, Texas, in the NCAA Division I men's basketball competition. The university is a member of the American Athletic Conference. The program has made six appearances in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament Final Four, which is tied for 10th most all-time, along with the most for any team who has not won a national championship. Richard Scott Walker (born July 10, 1953) is an American judge in the U.S. state of Texas. Early life and education Walker was elected to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals (CCA) in 2016. Walker graduated from Red Oak High School in 1971. He completed his undergraduate degree at Dallas Baptist University and received his J.D. degree from the Baylor Law School. State Highway 342 (SH 342) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Texas.
