''Red Moon'' is the fourth extended play by South Korean co-ed group Kard. It was released on February 12, 2020, by DSP Media and distributed by Kakao M. The EP consists of five tracks, including the previously released single "Dumb Litty" and the title track of the same name. Kard (group)
Kard (, stylized K.A.R.D or KARD) is a South Korean co-ed group formed by DSP Media. They are composed of members J.Seph, BM, Somin, and Jiwoo. They officially debuted on July 19, 2017, with their extended play '' Hola Hola''. History Pre-debut Somin was previously a member of DSP Media's Japan-based girl group Puretty, which disbanded two years after its debut in 2012. She later joined ''Kara Project'', where she competed to become a new member of KARA and finished in second place. On August 24, 2015, she debuted as leader of DSP Media's girl group April, but she decided to depart from the group on November 9. Male members J.Seph trained for five years, while BM trained for four and a half years under DSP Media. The label originally planned to debut them in a hip-hop duo, but this was changed later on. Trap Music
Trap is a subgenre of hip hop music that originated in the Southern United States during the 1990s. The genre gets its name from the Atlanta slang word "trap", a house used exclusively to sell drugs. Trap music uses synthesized drums and is characterized by complex hi-hat patterns, tuned kick drums with a long decay (originally from the Roland TR-808 drum machine), and lyrical content that often focuses on drug use and urban violence. ''Way with Words'' is the first single album by South Korean co-ed group Kard. It was released on August 26, 2020, by DSP Media and distributed by Kakao M. It consists of three songs with "Gunshot" released as the A-side and "Ah Ee Yah" and "Hold On" as its B-sides. Background and release On August 17, 2020, at midnight K.S.T. DSP Media released a teaser poster for the group's upcoming release. The poster has a black and white theme, a sensuous image that expresses a broken heart. It will be the first single album for the group titled ''Way with Words'' and will be released on August 26. On August 18, BM and J.Seph teaser images were released, and a day later, Somin and Jiwoo's images were released through the group's official social media accounts.
