Red Love (1952 Film)
''Red Love'' (Italian: ''Amore rosso'') is a 1952 Italian crime melodrama film directed by Aldo Vergano and starring Marina Berti, Massimo Serato and Guido Celano. It was shot at the Cinecittà Studios in Rome. The film's sets were designed by the art director Alberto Boccianti. It is an adaptation of the 1915 Sardinian-set novel ''Marianna Sirca'' by Grazia Deledda and is sometimes also known by this title. Location shooting took place around Aggius and Tempio in Gallura rather than the Nuoro setting of the novel. Aldo Vergano
Aldo Vergano (1891–1957) was an Italian director, screenwriter and journalist. He was the father of actress Serena Vergano. Biography Born in Rome, was son of Sebastiano Lodovico Vergano and Eleonora Zuddas. Vergano was the co-founder with Alessandro Blasetti of the magazine ''Cinematografo''. He made his film debut with the screenplay of Blasetti's ''Sun'', one of the most important films of the Italian silent cinema. In the thirties, though persecuted by fascism for his political views, he was a prolific screenwriter of Telefoni Bianchi films. He made his debut as a director with the patriotic drama ''Pietro Micca''. Arnoldo Foà
Arnoldo Foà (24 January 1916 – 11 January 2014) was an Italian actor, voice actor, theatre director, singer and writer. He appeared in more than 130 films between 1938 and 2014. Biography Foà was born in Ferrara, Italy, to a Jewish family, though Foà was an atheist in his adult life. Foà completed high school in Florence, where he moved with his family, and studied at the acting school of Rasi. He abandoned his studies in economics and at age 20 moved to Rome, where he attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. He was initiated to the Italian Scottish Rite Freemasonry in 1947 at the Lodge " Alpi Giulie" n.150 (in Rome), taking later the highest degree. Gallura ( sdn, Gaddura or ; sc, Caddura ) is a region in North-Eastern Sardinia, Italy. The name ''Gallùra'' is allegedly supposed to mean "stony area". Geography Gallùra has a surface of and it is situated between 40°55'20"64 latitude north and 09°29'11"76 east longitude.
