Red Company
is a video game developer and publisher based in Japan. Originally founded in 1976 as (though it did not begin doing business until 1985), it was reorganized and succeeded by a new company on December 4, 2000, under its current moniker of Red Entertainment. While Red Company as a public corporation dates back to the mid-1980s, the first title released under the Red Entertainment brand was ''Gungrave'' on July 17, 2002. The name "RED" comes from "Royal Emperor Dragon". In 2011, the company was acquired by Chinese game developer UltiZen Games Limited. In 2014, Red Entertainment was sold to Oizumi Corporation. Thomas Leo Clancy Jr. (April 12, 1947 – October 1, 2013) was an American novelist. Tengai Makyō
, also known as ''Far East of Eden'', is a series of role-playing video games released in Japan and Taiwan. The series was conceived by Oji Hiroi and developed by Red Company, debuting on the PC Engine CD-ROM² System in 1989. The series became popular in Japan, where it was one of the most popular RPG series during the 16-bit era, along with Enix's '' Dragon Quest'' and Squaresoft's ''Final Fantasy''. Its success was partly because the original ''Tengai Makyō'' was the first RPG released for the new CD-ROM format, which it utilized to create a bigger game and introduce fully voiced animated cut scenes and CD music to the genre. Project Hacker
is a point and click adventure game developed by Red Entertainment for the Nintendo DS. In ''Project Hacker: Kakusei'', the player takes control of a hacker named Satoru Amatsubo. Both Satoru and detective partner Rina Okubo are employed by the internet crime-fighting GIS. Gameplay The game features hacker-themed puzzles where the stylus is used for, among other tasks, program repair and password cracking.
