Red Cadeaux (6 March 2006 – 21 November 2015) was a British-bred Thoroughbred racehorse who was a triple runner up in the Melbourne Cup in 2011, 2013 and 2014. Cadeaux Genereux
Cadeaux Genereux (22 March 1985 – 18 November 2010) was a British Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. A specialist sprinter, he came to prominence in 1988 when he won five races including the Criterion Stakes and the Diadem Stakes and was disqualified after finishing first in the Prix de l'Abbaye. After two disappointing efforts early in 1989 he established himself as the best sprinter in Europe with wins in the July Cup and the William Hill Sprint Championship. He was then retired to stud where he had considerable success as a sire of winners. Background Cadeaux Genereux was a chestnut horse with a small white star, bred at the Whitsbury Manor Stud in Hampshire by Helen and Major Bobby Kennard. He was sired by Young Generation, a horse whose wins included the Prix Jean Prat and the Lockinge Stakes in 1979. Green Moon
Green Moon is a Thoroughbred racehorse bred in Ireland and trained in Australia, and owned by Australian businessman Lloyd Williams. He won the 2012 Melbourne Cup, ridden by Brett Prebble and trained by Robert Hickmott. The horse was originally to be ridden in the cup by Damien Oliver, but Oliver was dropped by Williams, the owner, after being accused of illegal betting. Background Sired by Montjeu, Green Moon was owned by the Goldsmith family and trained by Harry Dunlop. Then he was sold to Lloyd Williams in 2010. Racing career Green Moon started his career in England with trainer Harry Dunlop. After two placings as a two-year-old in 2009, he won his first three starts as a three-year-old, including a listed race.
