Recovery (TV Series)
''Recovery'' was a music and youth-oriented television series that was broadcast by ABC TV in Australia. The show was aired each Saturday morning from 9am to 12pm, following the overnight video clip program, '' Rage'', and was broadcast from April 20, 1996, to April 29, 2000. ''Recovery'' was produced "live-to-air" from ABC's Ripponlea studios in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Each episode featured a mix of live performances, music videos, other youth-relevant pop culture segments and comedy sketches. Personnel ''Recovery'' was primarily hosted by Dylan Lewis, although in the earlier episodes produced in Sydney, the hosting and segment introduction duties were shared with others, such as Sarah Macdonald. Once production moved to Melbourne, the show was co-hosted by Lewis and Tamara Rewse, who was to be replaced by Jane Gazzo, and was shot entirely before a live studio audience. ''Rage'' (stylised as ''rage'') is an all-night Australian music video program broadcast on ABC TV on Friday nights, Saturday mornings and Saturday nights. It was first screened on the weekend of Friday, 17 April 1987. With ''Soul Train'' and '' Video Hits'' no longer being produced, it is the oldest music television program currently still in production as of 2021. On Friday and Saturday nights, ''Rage'' typically starts between 11:00pm and 1:00am. The program is classified MA15+ until 6:00am, where it is rated PG from 6:00 to 11:00am on Saturday mornings, and at 7:00am on Sundays. Triple J TV (stylised in all lowercase; formerly jtv) is the name given to a series of Australian television programmes which started broadcast in July 2006 as a television spin-off of national radio broadcaster Triple J. They are broadcast on ABC1 and ABC2 as well as available online. As with Triple J, it focuses on youth-oriented (18–35) programming. Scenestar
Scenestar was a not-for-profit organisation promoting underage events in Melbourne, Australia between 1995 and 1997. The organisation was run by teenagers Aaron Shipperlee and Pheona Donohoe, assisted by a team of volunteers at shows. Scenestar organised events at the Corner Hotel and Central Club Hotel in Richmond. History Aaron Shipperlee met Pheona Donohoe at ''The Venue'' in Noble Park. Donohoe was a member of the City of Greater Dandenong ''Muso Network'', booked many of the alternative bands at ''The Venue'', and was involved in the ''Decimus Gnu'' compilation CD. Sarah Macdonald (journalist)
Sarah Macdonald (born 1966) is an Australian journalist, author and radio presenter, and has been associated with several ABC radio programs, including Triple J and Radio National. She is also known for her book ''Holy Cow! An Indian Adventure''. Early life and education Macdonald was born in Crown Street, Surry Hills, an inner-city suburb of Sydney, in 1966. She studied psychology at university, before engaging in extensive travel. Career After completing a cadetship at ABC NewsRadio, Macdonald worked as Triple J's political correspondent in Canberra, later hosting its morning show. She worked on television programs such as ''Recovery'' (on air 1996–2000), ''Race Around the World'' (1997–1998) and ''Two Shot''.
