Receiver (statue)
The ''Receiver'' statue is a tall public statue in Green Bay, Wisconsin associated with the Green Bay Packers football team. Originally located outside the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame, the statue was dedicated to the "great past, present and future enshrinees in the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame" on June 8, 1985. The player on the statue had number 88 on his jersey and the name listed on the back jersey was "PACKER." The statue was sold in 2003 to Titletown Brewing and was moved to the corner of Dousman Street and Donald Driver Way in front of the old Chicago and North Western Railway Passenger Depot. Donald Driver
Donald Jerome Driver (born February 2, 1975) is a former American football wide receiver. After playing college football for Alcorn State University, Driver was picked by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round of the 1999 NFL Draft. He spent his entire 14-season NFL career with the Packers and holds the franchise's all-time records for most career receptions and receiving yards. Driver was a member of the Packers team that won Super Bowl XLV over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Every year in Cleveland, Driver holds the Donald Driver Football Camp for local kids which is held at the Cleveland High School Football field. The ''Green Bay Press-Gazette'' is a newspaper whose primary coverage is of northeastern Wisconsin, including Green Bay, Wisconsin, Green Bay. It was founded as the ''Green Bay Gazette'' in 1866 as a weekly paper, becoming a daily newspaper in 1871. The ''Green Bay Gazette'' merged with its major competitor, the ''Green Bay Free Press'' in 1915, assuming its current title. The newspaper was purchased by Gannett in March 1980.
