"Real Soon" is the first single release from Snoop Dogg's 2005 album compilation album '' Bigg Snoop Dogg Presents…Welcome to tha Chuuch: Da Album''. It features the reunited Dogg Pound named DPGC with original first line-up that include Snoop and Nate Dogg. The song was recorded on the behalf of and to support the clemency for Stanley Tookie Williams. Snoop Dogg participated alongside other celebrities such as Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx in the protest held on November 19, 2005, at San Quentin against the death sentence of former Crip leader Stanley Williams. Their hopes were to change the death penalty into a life sentence on the claim that Williams had converted in prison and published many children books speaking against entering into street gangs. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger had agreed to meet with the death row inmate's lawyers, but was not convinced, and so the execution took place on December 13, 2005. Tha Dogg Pound is an American Hip hop music, hip hop duo made up of rappers Kurupt and Daz Dillinger. They were signed to Death Row Records in their early careers and were key to the label's success. Kurupt and Daz went on to release solo albums starting in 1998. They eventually left the crumbling Death Row Records in 1999. Daz left due to long-lasting internal struggles on the label after friend and labelmate Tupac Shakur's Murder of Tupac Shakur, murder in 1996. Kurupt started Antra Records, while Daz and Soopafly started D.P.G. Recordz. In 2002 a feud arose between the two when Kurupt decided to sign back with Death Row Records, upsetting everyone involved with the group. Stanley Tookie Williams III (December 29, 1953 – December 13, 2005) was an American gang member and spree killer who co-founded and led the Crips gang in Los Angeles. He and Raymond Washington formed an alliance in 1971 that established the Crips as Los Angeles' first major African-American street gang.
