Real Ones
Real Ones, also known as Reelones, is a Folk/rock band from Bergen, Norway. The band was formed in 1994. Band members include Ivar Vogt (vocals, guitar, ukulele, saxophone), Jørgen Sandvik (vocals, guitar, banjo, sitar), Kåre Opheim (drums, backing vocals), Øystein Skjælaaen (bass, backing vocals), and David Vogt (vocals, violin, organ). 1994-2009 Yrjan Tangenes provided vocals, percussion, and bodhrán, and Thomas Lønnheim played percussion in 1999-2000. The band was formed when Vogt and Sandvik were 14 and 15 years of age. Biography The ensemble, who normally sing English lyrics, makes music that can be characterized as folk-rock or melodic pop, but is also influenced by psychedelia and oriental music. Sigbjørn Apeland (born 10 May 1966 was raised in Sveio, Norway) is a musician (Organ (music), organ and Harmonium) and scientist, known from several recordings and for his work in the borderland between folk music, church music and improvisational music. Career Apeland is a graduate in performing Church music at the University of Stavanger, Rogaland Musikkonservatorium (1988) and ethnomusicology from University of Bergen (1998), before he as fellow at Griegakademiet completed his Doctor of Arts, Dr. art. with the thesis ''Kyrkjemusikkdiskursen: Musikklivet i Den norske kyrkja som diskursiv praksis'' (Church music discourse: The music scene in the Norwegian church as discursive practice, 2005). Spellemannprisen, often referred to as the Norwegian Grammy Awards in English, is a Norwegian music award presented to Norwegian musicians. The award was established by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), an organization that represents the interests of the recording industry worldwide. Highasakite
Highasakite is an indie pop and indie rock band from Norway. The band formed when vocalist and songwriter Ingrid Helene Håvik met drummer Trond Bersu whilst studying jazz at the Trondheim Jazz Conservatory. In 2010, after just six months, the duo started working on their debut album. The album ''All That Floats Will Rain'' was released in 2012. Karpe (known as Karpe Diem in the period 2000–2018) is a rap group from Oslo, Norway made up of audiovisual artists Magdi Omar Ytreeide Abdelmaguid (b. 1984) and Chirag Rashmikant Patel (b. 1984). Biography Magdi Omar Ytreeide Abdelmaguid of mixed Egyptian/Norwegian origin was born on 3 June 1984 in Oslo to an Egyptian father and a Norwegian mother from Stryn, Sogn og Fjordane. Chirag Rashmikant Patel of Indian origin was born on 20 July 1984 in Lørenskog. His Indian father immigrated from Uganda and Chirag grew up in Oslo. His mother originates from Gujarat, India. Superfamily was a Norwegian pop rock band from Moss, Norway. The band is composed of Steven Ray Wilson (lead vocals), Kim Granholt (keytar, synthesizer), Martin Steffensen (guitar), and Richard Lorentz (drums).
