ReadySoft
ReadySoft was a video game developer and publisher and distributor founded in 1987 by David Foster, based in Ontario, Canada. Products include various emulators as well as home computer ports of Sullivan Bluth's Laser disc game series ''Dragon's Lair'', ''Space Ace'', and their sequels. As a publisher, they frequently handled North American release of games by French developer Silmarils. Emulators ReadySoft's first product was a Commodore 64 emulator for the Amiga. In 1992, ReadySoft published the A-Max II and A-Max II Plus Macintosh emulators for the Amiga which were software emulators augmented by add-on hardware.A-Max II Plus

''Dragon's Lair'' is an interactive film Interactive film#LaserDisc games, LaserDisc video game developed by RDI Video Systems, Advanced Microcomputer Systems and published by Cinematronics in 1983, as the first game in the ''Dragon's Lair'' series. In the game, the protagonist Dirk the Daring is a knight attempting to rescue Princess Daphne (character), Princess Daphne from the evil dragon Singe who has locked the princess in the foul wizard Mordroc's castle. It featured animation by ex-The Walt Disney Company, Disney animator Don Bluth. Most other games of the era represented the character as a Sprite (computer graphics), sprite, which consisted of a series of pixels displayed in succession. Due to hardware limitations of the era, artists were greatly restricted in the detail they could achieve using that technique; the resolution, framerate and number of frames were severely constrained. ''Brain Dead 13'' is an interactive movie video game developed and originally published in North America by ReadySoft on 15 December 1995 and in Europe by Empire Interactive on the same year for the MS-DOS. Unlike ''Dragon's Lair'' and ''Space Ace'', which began as laserdisc arcade games, it was only released for personal computers and video game consoles. In the game, players assume the role of young computer expert Lance Galahad to defeat Dr. Nero Neurosis at his castle and its residents. Its gameplay is primarily presented through the use of full-motion video (FMV). ''Brain Dead 13'' was initially released for the MS-DOS before being ported to other platforms including the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer, Atari Jaguar CD, CD-i, iOS, Macintosh, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation and Sega Saturn between 1996 and 2010, with each one featuring various changes and additions compared to the original version. ''Robinson's Requiem'' is a 1994 survival simulation video game developed and originally published by Silmarils exclusively in Europe for the Atari ST, Atari Falcon and Amiga. Taking place in the 22nd century where Earth and colonized planets are facing overpopulation, the game sees players assuming the role of Robinson officer Trepliev 1 from the Alien World Exploration department in his attempt to escape imprisonment from the fictional planet of Zarathustra alongside another AWE Robinson named Nina1, while facing several hostile creatures and dangers in order to survive. ''Wrath of the Demon'' is a 1991 hack and slash video game developed by Quebec-based developer Abstrax, and published by ReadySoft. Versions for Atari ST, Amiga, Commodore CDTV, and MS-DOS were released in early 1991. A Commodore 64 version was released later. Plot The player controls a hero on a quest to defeat a demon. Development The nine musical tracks are by David Whittaker. The programmers for the Amiga version were David Foster, Pierre Proulx and Martin Ross. The programmer for the PC version was Nicolas Chapados. The game was designed and illustrated by Claude Pelletier and Stephane Ross. Gameplay Like ''Robinson's Requiem'', the game features complex health monitoring and surgery systems; however, the game now contains an optional "action mode", which removes these systems. Space Ace
''Space Ace'' is a LaserDisc video game produced by Bluth Group, Cinematronics and Advanced Microcomputer Systems (later renamed RDI Video Systems). It was unveiled in October 1983, just four months after the ''Dragon's Lair'' game, followed by a limited release in December 1983 and then a wide release in Spring 1984. Like its predecessor, it featured film-quality animation played back from a LaserDisc. The gameplay is similar to ''Dragon's Lair'', requiring the player to move the joystick or press the fire button at key moments in the animated sequences to govern the hero's actions. There is also the occasional option to either temporarily have the character transform into his adult form or remain as a boy with different styles of challenge. Volfied
is an arcade video game designed by Fukio Mitsuji and released by Taito in 1989. It is a successor to '' Qix'', with extra features and a futuristic science fiction aesthetic, rather than ''Qix''s abstract geometry style; the player pilots a small spaceship named "Monotros" instead of a Stix, and the enemies come in the form of various aliens. Plot Taking place in another galaxy, a space pilot is returning to his home world of Volfied, only to discover that it is under attack by an unknown alien force. The few remaining Volfied inhabitants are in an underground location of the planet and signal the pilot to their aid.
