Razah's Ladder
''Razah's Ladder'' is a collaborative studio album by the American hip hop production duo Blue Sky Black Death and the American rapper Hell Razah. It was released by Babygrande Records in 2007. Production The album title refers to the Bible story of Jacob's Ladder. Razah said the album "reps me escalating in my career", and would lead-in to his following solo project, titled ''Heaven Razah''. After the recent death of his father, Razah decided to take the album in a deeper, spiritual direction. Blue Sky Black Death said that the album's production was not as dark or as sinister as the production on their previous project with the Wu-Tang affiliate Holocaust, calling it an "uplifting album" with more soulful beats requested by Razah. Release Blue Sky Black Death said that there would be no singles released from the album, calling them "obsolete" for underground artists. Blue Sky Black Death (abbreviated BSBD) was a production duo based in the San Francisco Bay Area. It consisted of Ryan Maguire, better known by his stage name Kingston, and Ian Taggart, better known by his stage name Young God, or, later, Televangel. They are known principally for their hip hop and instrumental music, made with a mixture of live instrumentation and sampling. Their name is "a skydiving phrase alluding to beauty and death." History Kingston and Young God met and began collaborating on music in 2003. Young God, working under the name Rev. Left, began creating beats to rap over, but abandoned rapping and started producing exclusively around 2000. Dominick Antron Wickliffe (born September 23, 1976), better known by his stage names Crooked I and Kxng Crooked, (stylised as KXNG Crooked and pronounced "King Crooked") is an American rapper from Long Beach, California. He is best known as a former member of the hip hop supergroup Slaughterhouse with other members Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Royce da 5'9". He is CEO of his own record labels, Dynasty Entertainment and C.O.B. Digital as well as Senior Vice President of Treacherous Records. Blue is one of the three primary colours in the RYB colour model (traditional colour theory), as well as in the RGB (additive) colour model. It lies between violet and cyan on the spectrum of visible light. The eye perceives blue when observing light with a dominant wavelength between approximately 450 and 495 nanometres. Lamar Ruff, known professionally as Prodigal Sunn, is an American rapper, actor & film producer. He is a member of Sunz of Man and Wu-Tang Clan original affiliate. John Fuentes (born February 7, 1972), also known as SaBac Red, is an American rapper from New York City and a member of Non Phixion and the "on hold" Secret Society. Biography Sabac was born in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, along with his twin sister. His family moved to Brooklyn, New York City, when he was four years old. Chron Smith (born October 1, 1976), better known by his stage name Hell Razah, is an American rapper. He is best known as a member of Sunz of Man, an early affiliate group of the Wu-Tang Clan. Razah is rumored to have suffered a brain aneurysm in April 2010. He was quick to recover and continue recording. He came to adopt the moniker Heaven Razah.
