Raymond Galligan
Raymond Galligan (born 30 May 1987) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for the Cavan county team. He plays his club football with Lacken. Playing career Club Galligan has played with the Lacken club at all levels. Galligan made his club debut in 2002 and was on the Lacken team that faced Drung in the final of the Cavan Intermediate Football Championship in 2004, and scored a point in their 1-9 to 1-8 win. On 7 October 2012, Galligan captained Lacken in the Intermediate final against Cootehill. Galligan scored 1-5 from full forward as the game ended in a draw. In the replay on 13 October, Galligan scored two points in the 3-10 to 1-9 win, winning his second Intermediate title. In 2016 Galligan captained Lacken from full forward to their first ever Division One league title, defeating Kingscourt Stars in the final. Gary Rogers
Gary Rogers (born 25 September 1981) is an Irish coach and former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Rogers was also called up to the Republic of Ireland national football team. He also played Gaelic football for and coached the Meath county team, and has also coached the Cavan, Monaghan and Westmeath county teams. Playing career Shelbourne Rogers played with St Francis when he was younger and was spotted by Dermot Keely and was brought to the Shelbourne youth team. While with the youth team, he had a trial at Stockport County. He did not get a contract and upon his return he never made a first-team appearance for Shelbourne. The Tailteann Cup is a second tier Gaelic football championship competition held annually since 2022 and organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is contested by those county teams who do not qualify for the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship and the winner is awarded the Tailteann Cup. GAA GPA All Stars Awards
The Gaelic Athletic Association-Gaelic Players' Association All Stars Awards (often known simply as the All Stars) are awarded annually to the best player in each of the 15 playing positions in Gaelic football and hurling. Additionally, one player in each code is selected as Player of the Year. The awards were instituted in 1971. Since 2011 they have been presented jointly by the Gaelic Athletic Association and the representative body for inter-county players, the Gaelic Players Association. Stephen King (Gaelic Footballer)
Stephen King is a former Gaelic footballer who played for the Cavan county team. Playing career He debuted for Cavan in 1980, but did not have much success in the early years, winning only a Railway Cup Medal with Ulster in 1984. In 1989, Cavan had a great run in the National Football League, claiming the Div. 2 title and reaching the semi final, only to lose narrowly to Dublin in Croke Park. In the same year he won a Dr. McKenna Cup medal when Cavan defeated Derry in the Final.
