Ray Rodrigues
Raymond Wesley Rodrigues (born April 17, 1970) is a Republican member of the Florida Senate, representing parts of Lee County since 2020. Previously, he served four terms in the Florida House of Representatives, representing southern and coastal Lee County from 2012 to 2020. His campaign website describes him as conservative. History Rodrigues was born in Pensacola and attended Berry College in Rome, Georgia, where he received a scholarship from the WinShape Foundation and graduated in 1992. Following graduation, he moved to Estero, where he became an active member of the community, eventually working as the Budget Manager for the College of Arts and Sciences at Florida Gulf Coast University. Rodrigues has been active in the Lee County Republican Party since 1995, serving in various capacities including Vice-Chairman from 2010 to 2012. Estero, Florida
Estero is a village in Lee County, Florida, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 36,939. During the 2010 census, Estero was an unincorporated community, or census-designated place, the population at that time was 22,612. Estero incorporated as a village in 2014. In 2019, the village's estimated population was 33,871. Estero is part of the Cape Coral-Fort Myers, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. Estero is the home of Hertz Arena, which hosts the home games for the Florida Everblades ECHL ice hockey team. Florida Gulf Coast University is located just north of the Estero village limits. Staci Ann Gruber is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Director of the Cognitive and Clinical Neuroimaging Core (CCNC) and the Marijuana Investigation for Neuroscientific Discovery (MIND) Program.
