''Ravi Shastri'' is a 2006 Indian Kannada-language romantic comedy film directed by M. S. Rajashekar and M. R. Raghavendra. The film is a remake of '' Idhu Namma Aalu'' (1988) and stars Ravichandran and Sneha, in her Kannada debut. Idhu Namma Aalu (1988 Film)
''Idhu Namma Aalu'' (; contextual: He is from our caste) is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language comedy film written by K. Bhagyaraj and directed by Balakumaran in his debut. The film was remade in Telugu as '' Adirindhi Alludu'' (1996), and twice in Kannada: as '' Aliya Alla Magala Ganda'' (1997) and ''Ravi Shastri'' (2006). Plot Gopalsamy, a poor graduate of Bachelor of Arts, travels to Madras to financially provide for his mother's eye surgery. Ravichandran (Kannada Actor)
Veeraswamy Ravichandran (born 30 May 1961), known mononymously as Ravichandran, is an actor, director, producer, music director, lyricist and editor in the Kannada Film Industry. He is the son of film producer N. Veeraswamy. As producer, Ravichandran continues to run his father's production house, Sri Eswari Productions. Suhasini Rajaram Naidu (born 12 October 1981), known by her stage name Sneha, is an Indian actress who works primarily in Tamil film industry and Telugu film industry. Umashree (born 10 May 1957) is an Indian actress and politician. She is known for her portrayal of film roles spoken in the Kannada language (over 400), particularly comic roles. Ravi Shastri
Ravishankar Jayadritha Shastri (born 27 May 1962) is the former head coach of the India national cricket team, a cricket commentator and former captain of Indian Cricket Team. As a player, he played for the India national cricket team between 1981 and 1992 in both Test matches and One Day Internationals. Although he started his career as a left arm spin bowler, he later transformed into a batting all-rounder. As a cricketer, Shastri was essentially defensive with his trademark "chapati shot" (a flick off the pads), but he could raise his strike rate when required. Due to his above-average height (he stood 6' 3" tall) and an upright stance, he had a limited number of shots against fast bowling, but was able to put the lofted shot to good use against spin bowling.
