Ratha's Courage
''Ratha’s Courage'' is a novel by Clare Bell. It was published in 2008 by Imaginator Press. This novel is the final one in the ''Ratha series'', also re-titled as ''The Books of the Named''. In Ratha's Courage, the fifth book in the Named series, Ratha extends the use of the Red Tongue to a hunter tribe. One of the hunters ignites a blaze that sets off a devastating conflict between the two clans. Now Ratha must find the courage within herself to set it right. Plot summary The Named and the hunter Tribe have entered into an uneasy alliance as neighbors. When Quiet Hunter, a young member of the Tribe, asks the Named if they can share their fire to warm the Tribe's cubs, a strange young male steals the Red Tongue in an attempt to harness its powers. However, he is young and foolish, and he accidentally starts a canyon fire which kills many of his tribe, mainly the Tribe's breeding-age females. Clare Bell
Clare Bell (born 1952) is a British author in the United States best known for her Ratha series of young adult fantasy novels about prehistoric big cats. These books, also called the ''Named series'', are about intelligent self-aware large cats who have puma, cheetah and lion characteristics, and are based on fossil creatures who are ancestors of the saber-tooth cat. The first book in the series, ''Ratha's Creature'' appeared in 1983. ''Imaginator'' is the third album from American rock group Nelson. It was released in Japan through Victor Entertainment in 1996, and later in the US through Fuel 2000 in 1998. The album is notable for being the second album recorded by the band, after the success of their debut album, '' After the Rain''. The album was planned to be released around 1993. However, the album was rejected by producer John Kalodner and the executives at Geffen Records for being too heavy and dark. They gave the band the choice to either record another album, or they would be released from their contract. The band decided to return to the studio again and recorded a third album, ''Because They Can'', which ended up being released by Geffen in 1995.
