Ratchayothin Yotharuck
Ratchayothin Yotharuck ( th, รัชโยธิน โยธารักษ์, born 13 December 1995 in Nakhon Nayok province, Nakhon Nayok, Thailand) is a Thai former professional snooker player. Yotharuck has been playing snooker since he was 10 years old and represented Thailand in several international events together with Boonrayit Kiatkul and Noppon Saengkham. In 2013 he received a two-year wildcard for the World Snooker Tour, Main Tour as an Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports nomination, after Asian champion Saleh Mohammad (snooker player), Saleh Mohammad declined his place. The Players Championship is a professional ranking snooker tournament. Neil Robertson is the reigning champion. History After the establishment of the Players Tour Championship, the Players Tour Championship Finals was first held in 2011 at The Helix in Dublin, between the top 24 players of the Order of Merit, who played at least 6 events; 3 in Sheffield and 3 in mainland Europe. The event was sponsored by PartyCasino.com. In 2012 the event moved to the Bailey Allen Hall in Galway, and was sponsored by Betfair. In 2013 the event was sponsored by Dafabet, and the competition was expanded to 32 players. Indian Open (snooker)
The Indian Open is a professional ranking snooker tournament. Matthew Selt is the reigning champion. History The event was introduced in the 2013/2014 season and it is the first ever ranking event to be held in India. The inaugural event was held between 14 and 18 October 2013 at the Le Meridian Hotel in New Delhi. The Billiards and Snooker Federation of India has signed a three-year contract for the tournament. In August 2014, it was announced that the event will be held at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai. In September 2014, it was announced that the event has been postponed due to the State Election in Maharashtra, with the original dates of 13–17 October 2014 changed to 10–14 March 2015. 2014 Welsh Open (snooker)
The 2014 BetVictor Welsh Open was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place between 19 February and 2 March 2014 at the Newport Centre in Newport, Wales. It was the eighth ranking event of the 2013/2014 season, and the second time that BetVictor sponsored the event. Stephen Maguire was the defending champion, but he lost 3–4 against Joel Walker in the last 16. Ronnie O'Sullivan won his 26th ranking title by defeating Ding Junhui 9–3 in the final. This was O'Sullivan's third Welsh Open title after 2004 and 2005, to equal the record jointly held by John Higgins and Stephen Hendry. Welsh Open (snooker)
The Welsh Open is a professional ranking snooker tournament that has been held annually since 1992. It replaced the Welsh Professional Championship, which ran annually from 1980 to 1991 and was open only to Welsh players. The Welsh Open is now the longest running ranking event after the World Championship and the UK Championship. Since the 2016–17 season, it has been one of four tournaments in the Home Nations Series, alongside the Northern Ireland Open, the Scottish Open, and the English Open. Since 2017, the winner of the event has received the Ray Reardon Trophy, named after the Welsh six-time world champion. Reardon himself presented the newly named trophy to 2017 winner Stuart Bingham. The 2014 German Masters was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place between 29 January–2 February 2014 at the Tempodrom in Berlin, Germany. It was the seventh ranking event of the 2013/2014 season. Two maximum breaks were compiled during the qualifying stage of the tournament at the Barnsley Metrodome in Barnsley, England. Dechawat Poomjaeng made the 101st official maximum break during his match against Zak Surety. This was Poomjaeng's first 147 break. Just one day later Gary Wilson made the 102nd official maximum break during the match against Ricky Walden. This was Wilson's first 147 break. German Masters
The German Masters is a professional ranking snooker tournament held at the Tempodrom in Berlin, Germany since 2011. The 2021 event was held at Milton Keynes in England because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Zhao Xintong is the reigning champion, having won the event in 2022. An earlier ranking event, the German Open, was held in Germany from 1995 to 1997. This was followed by an invitation event, called the German Masters, in 1998. History The tournament started as the German Open and was a ranking tournament from 1995 to 1997. The first event was played in Frankfurt in December 1995, replacing the European Open in the December place in the calendar, the European Open being moved to early 1996. The 2014 Coral UK Championship was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place between 25 November and 7 December 2014 at the Barbican Centre in York, England. It was the fifth ranking event of the 2014/2015 season. Neil Robertson was the defending champion, but he lost 5–6 against Graeme Dott in the last 16. This result led to Ding Junhui becoming the first Asian player to reach the world number one ranking. Ronnie O'Sullivan won his fifth UK Championship and his 27th ranking title by defeating Judd Trump 10–9 in the final. It was the sixth ranking event of the 2013/2014 season. Mark Selby made the 100th official maximum break during his semi-final match against Ricky Walden. This was Selby's second official 147 break and the third maximum break in the 2013/2014 season. Neil Robertson won his ninth ranking title by defeating defending champion Selby 10–7 in the final, despite trailing 1–5 and 3–6 during the match. International Championship
The International Championship is a professional ranking snooker tournament. The reigning champion is Judd Trump. History The event was introduced in the 2012/2013 season. It was named as the "first overseas 'major'", because the tournament had the same level of ranking points as the UK Championship. With the change in the rankings system from points to prize money, the International Championship had the third highest prize fund and winner's cheque of any ranking event on the snooker calendar, behind the World and UK Championships, and the highest outside of the United Kingdom, until 2018 when the China Open had its winner's cheque raised to £225,000.
