Raquel Paiewonsky (born 1969) is an artist from the Dominican Republic. Early life and education Born in Puerto Plata (city), Puerto Plata, Paiewonsky graduated in 1991 from the Altos de Chavón School of Design in La Romana, Dominican Republic, La Romana. The following year she held her first solo exhibition at the Art Nouveau Gallery. She then traveled to New York City, where she lived and worked for a decade, studying at Parsons The New School for Design. After returning to the Dominican Republic she settled in Santo Domingo. Career Stylistically, Paiewonsky produces art across a range of disciplines and media, including painting, sculpture, and photography. Raquel Olmedo (; born Siomara Anicia Orama Leal on 30 December 1937) is a Cuban-born Mexican actress and singer. She started her career in her native Cuba before moving to Mexico in 1959. She performed in the last years of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. Biography Olmedo was born in Caibarién, Las Villas, Cuba, and began her career there in theatre singing opera. In the wake of the 1959 Cuban revolution, Olmedo came to Mexico in 1959 as an unknown artist. Raquel Liberman (10 July 1900 – 7 April 1935) was a Polish immigrant to Argentina, a victim of human trafficking. Her denouncement of her traffickers led to the breaking up of the Jewish human-trafficking network from Poland, Zwi Migdal, which in the early 20th century operated a worldwide white-slavery ring. Early life Liberman was born on 10 July 1900 in Berdichev in the Kiev Governorate of the Russian Empire. According to the Jewish Women's Archive, she moved to Warsaw in Russian Poland with her family as a child. In 1919, she married Yaacov Ferber, a Warsaw tailor, according to Jewish rites.
