''Ranja'' ( si, රන්ජා) is a 2014 Sri Lankan Sinhala action thriller film directed by Sudesh Wasantha Peiris and produced by Sunil T. Fernando for Sunil T. Films. It was distributed as the sequel of Ranjan Ramanayake's film '' One Shot One'' in 2005. It stars Ranjan Ramanayake, Tennyson Cooray, and Himali Siriwardena in lead roles along with Roger Seneviratne, Srimal Wedisinghe and Rex Kodippili. It is the 1207th Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema. The movie is a remake of 2003 Tamil movie ''Dhool''. Plot Ranja (Ranjan Ramanayake) along with Vihangi (Himali Siriwardena) and her mother (Nilmini Kottegoda) come to the Colombo city to meet the minister (Srimal Wedisinghe) they've elected to the parliament to hand over a petition about a factory in their village which poisons village river. Sadda Vidda Rajapakse Palanga Pathira Ambakumarage Ranjan Leo Sylvester Alphonsu (born 11 March 1963) (රන්ජන් රාමනායක), popularly known as Ranjan Ramanayake, is a former Sri Lankan politician, actor, film director, singer and script writer who appeared in a number of Sinhala language films. ''One Shot'' ( si, වන් ෂොට්) is a 2005 Sri Lankan Sinhala action film remake from Tamil super hit film Baashha. This film was directed by Ranjan Ramanayake and produced by Soma Edirisinghe for EAP Films. It stars Ranjan Ramanayake and Anarkali Akarsha in lead roles along with Wilson Karunaratne and Rex Kodippili. The music was composed by Somapala Rathnayake. The film's sequel, ''Ranja - One Shot One 2'', was released in 2014. It is the 1051st Sri Lankan film in the Sinhalese cinema. The film was also screened in India. ''Dhool'' () is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language masala film written and directed by Dharani. The film stars Vikram, Jyothika and Reema Sen. Vivek, Sayaji Shinde, Telangana Shakuntala, and Pasupathy, among others, play important roles. Produced by A. M.
