Randers Library
Randers Library is the main public library in Randers Municipality, Denmark. It is in the Kulturhuset (The House of Culture) and consists of the main library in Randers, a mobile library and three other libraries around the municipality. From 1 January 2007 the name was changed from Randersegnens Libraries to the Randers Library. Randersegnens Libraries were a library association between Nørhald, Purhus, Randers, Rougsø and Sønderhald Municipalities in the period from 1970 to the end of 2006. Randers Municipality
Randers Municipality is a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Region Midtjylland on the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark. The municipality covers an area of , and has a population of 96,559 (as of 1 April 2014). Its mayor, since 1 January 2018 is Torben Hansen, a member of the Social Democrats. The main town and the site of its municipal council is the city of Randers. Kulturhuset (Randers)
Kulturhuset (The House of Culture) or Randers Kulturhus is a notable landmark building and cultural centre in Randers, Denmark. Kulturhuset was designed by architect Flemming Lassen in the modernist style and built in 1964-1969. The name translates simply as "The House of Culture" and it holds a number of important public cultural institutions. The building Randers Kulturhus actually comprise three adjoined buildings. The oldest is the former main building for ''Randers Tekniske Skole'' (Randers Technical School) from 1891, designed by J.P. Jensen Wærum. Another building was added in 1937, designed by I.P. Hjersing. But what now comprise Randers Kulturhus, was founded by the quadratic modernist concrete structure built in 1964-69 and designed by Flemming Lassen. Kulturhuset has three floors. Until 1 January 2007 Purhus municipality was a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in the former Aarhus County on the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 169 km2, and had a total population of 8,547 (2005). Its last mayor was Berner Nielsen, a member of the Social Democrats (''Socialdemokraterne'') political party.
