Rana Awdish
Rana Awdish is an American critical care physician, pulmonologist, author and medical director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program of Henry Ford Hospital. She is best known for her critically acclaimed, bestselling book ''In Shock: My Journey from Death to Recovery and the Redemptive Power of Hope.'' Biography Awdish was born in Michigan. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Awdish received a Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) from the Wayne State University Medical School in 2002 where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, after which she moved to the New York to complete her training at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in Manhattan.
