Ran Dank
Ran Dank (born April 3, 1982) is an Israeli classical pianist, who currently lives in New York, NY, USA. Early life Dank started playing the piano at the age of seven with Yaakov Krantz. He went on to work with Liora Peleg at the Givaataim Conservatory, and from 1994 until 2002, he studied with Professor Vadim Monastirsky of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. In the years between 2000 and 2003, Dank served under a special musician status in the Israeli Defense Forces. From 2004 to 2005, Dank attended the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv, where he received his BA in music, studying with Professor Emanuel Krasovsky. In 2005–07, Dank left his native Israel for the first time, to study at the Juilliard School in New York. Under the tutelage of Professors Emanuel Ax and Joseph Kalichstein, he was awarded his M.M degree in 2007. Cleveland International Piano Competition
The Cleveland International Piano Competition is an American piano competition that takes place biennially in Cleveland, Ohio. The initial Competition in 1975 and the nine others that followed were sponsored jointly by the Robert Casadesus Society and the Cleveland Institute of Music to honor the memory of French pianist Robert Casadesus. As a result, the Competition was then called the Casadesus International Piano Competition. In 1994, a new organization was formed: the Piano International Association of Northern Ohio (PIANO). Gina Bachauer
Gina Bachauer (Greek: Τζίνα Μπαχάουερ; May 21, 1910, AthensAugust 22, 1976, Athens), was a Greek classical pianist who toured extensively in the United States and Europe. Interested in piano at a young age, Bachauer graduated from the Athens Conservatory and studied under Alfred Cortot and Sergei Rachmaninoff. She is best known for playing Romantic piano concertos. She played hundreds of concerts for the Allied troops in the Middle East during World War II while she lived in Egypt. She spent a lot of time touring the United States and Europe, giving over 100 concerts each year. Bachauer also recorded extensively, both as a soloist and with orchestras.
