Rajanna
''Rajanna'' is a 2011 Indian Telugu-language period action film written and directed by V. Vijayendra Prasad. The film is produced by Nagarjuna, and starred him, Sneha and child artist Baby Annie. The film is partially inspired by Razakar movement, and freedom fighter Suddala Hanmanthu. ''Rajanna'' was released to positive reviews and critical acclaim, with soundtrack composed by M. M. Keeravani. The film recorded as ''Above Average'' at the box office. The film has won six state Nandi Awards, including the Nandi Award for Second Best Feature Film - Silver. Plot Nelakondapalli village of Khammam district during the time of Nizam's rule on the Princely State of Hyderabad in early 1940s is under the feudal rule of an aristocratic family headed by cruel and oppressive woman addressed as "Dorasani". Baby Annie
Baby Annie (born 31 March 2001) is a south Indian actress who predominantly works in Telugu movies. She is known for the role of Mallamma in the 2011 movie ''Rajanna'', for which she received a Nandi Award. She made her debut through ''Anukokunda Oka'' ''Roju'' that stars Jagapathi Babu and Charmi. Her other noted film appearances include '' Swagatham, Athidi,'' ''Stalin'' and '' Ek Niranjan''. Early life Annie was born and brought up in Hyderabad to Malayalam speaking parents. Nagarjuna (actor)
Akkineni Nagarjuna Rao (born 29 August 1959), known mononymously as Nagarjuna, is an Indian actor, film producer, television presenter, and entrepreneur. Nagarjuna has acted predominantly in Telugu, along with a few Hindi and Tamil language films. He has received nine state Nandi Awards, three Filmfare Awards South and two National Film Awards namely, for '' Ninne Pelladata'' (1996), which he produced won the Best Feature Film in Telugu and a Special Mention as actor for ''Annamayya'' (1997). Suhasini Rajaram Naidu (born 12 October 1981), known by her stage name Sneha, is an Indian actress who works primarily in Tamil film industry and Telugu film industry. She made her debut with Malayalam movie Ingane Oru Nilapakshi. She debuted in Telugu in the year 2001 with the film '' Priyamaina Neeku''. Suddala Hanmanthu
Suddala Hanmanthu was a noted Indian poet of the mid 1900s. He wrote songs like ''Palleturi pillagada... pasulagaase monagaada...'' (from the movie Maa Bhoomi). Early life Suddala Hanmanthu was born in Paladugu village, Mothkur mandal. Later, he moved to suddala village of Gundala Mandal in Yadadri bhuvanagiri district, Telangana State in India. Razakars (Hyderabad)
The Razakars were the paramilitary volunteer force of the Muslim nationalist Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) party in the Hyderabad State under the British Raj. Formed in 1938 by the MIM leader Bahadur Yar Jung, they expanded considerably during the leadership of Qasim Razvi around the time of Indian independence. A zamindar ( Hindustani: Devanagari: , ; Persian: , ) in the Indian subcontinent was an autonomous or semiautonomous ruler of a province.
