Raj Kapoor (Tamil Film Director)
Raj Kapoor (born 15 August 1958) is an Indian film director and actor, who has worked predominantly in Tamil cinema. He introduced cinematic techniques in his Tamil serial ''Nandini'' causing a huge hype in south Indian film industry. He has also appeared as a supporting actor in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. Career Raj Kapoor started his cinema career as an assistant director to Film director C. V. Sridhar one of the legends of golden period of Tamil cinema. Later became an independent film director for ''Thalattu Ketkuthamma'' (1991). He is known for films like Prabhu-Khushbu’s ''Uthama Raasa'' (1993) and Ajith-Simran’s ''Aval Varuvala'' (1998). He went on to direct other films like Ajith-Meena's ''Anantha Poongatre'' (1999), Arjun's ''Sudhandhiram'' (2000) and ''Vambu Sandai'' (2008). Srinivasa "Arjun" Sarja is an Indian actor, producer, and director who works predominantly in the Tamil film industry, in addition to Kannada and Telugu languages as well. Referred to by the media and his fans as " Action King" for his roles in action films, Arjun has acted in more than 160 films, most of them being lead roles. ''Kalyana Galatta'' is a 1998 Indian Tamil-language comedy film written and directed by Rajkapoor, starring Sathyaraj, Mantra and Khushboo. ''Chinna Jameen'' () is a 1993 Indian Tamil-language masala film directed by Raj Kapoor, starring Karthik and Sukanya. The film introduced former actress Vineetha in her Tamil and acting debut. It was released on 13 November 1993. Plot Rasaiya is brought up as an innocent man who suffers torture in the hands of his cruel uncle Rathnavel to get hold of his property for which Rasaiya is considered as legal heir. He falls in love with Jothi; however, Rathnavel sets his henchman to molest and kill her. Sathya, who joins the village as a village administrative officer, turns out to be Jothi's sister who has arrived to avenge her sister's death.
