Rainbow's End (album)
''Rainbow's End'' is the second full-length album by American Christian rock band Resurrection Band, released in 1979. Recording history Resurrection Band continues in its Led Zeppelin-inspired rock vein with this record. This release is significant for the inclusion of "Afrikaans," the first anti-apartheid song ever released by an American rock band, one full year before Peter Gabriel brought the issue to listeners' attention with "Biko." Although the band was greatly pleased with this album, that sentiment was not shared by the record label, and ''Rainbow's End'' would be the band's last release for Star Song Records. Track listing The title track was never played live until Resurrection Band's final concert at the Cornerstone Festival in 2000. Personnel * Glenn Kaiser – lead and background vocals, electric guitars * Wendi Kaiser – lead and background vocals * Stu Heiss – electric and acoustic guitars, piano, organ, Moog synthesizer, "Heiss Box" guitar synthesize ...

The album was released with Spanish-language versions of the songs as ''Picardía''. Reception In his retrospective review of the album, AllMusic’s Richard S. Ginell gave it two stars (of a possible five). He took aim at the hit "Never Gonna Let You Go", calling it "a saccharine ballad, where Joe Pizzulo and Leza Miller sing their banalities while Sergio strums and comps on synthesizers". He was critical of the album as a whole too, saying "To say that anyone could have made this record may be overstating the case, but the fact is that there is no wa ...

I Can Spin A Rainbow
''I Can Spin a Rainbow'' is a collaborative studio album by American singer-songwriter Amanda Palmer and English singer-songwriter Edward Ka-Spel of The Legendary Pink Dots. In a blog post on her official website, Palmer explained the backstory of how she was obsessed with the Pink Dots as a teenager, and even wrote and directed an experimental dialogue-free play inspired by their album '' Asylum'' when she was seventeen. When she was nineteen, the band needed a place to stay while on tour in Boston, Massachusetts and Palmer offered up her house. The Legendary Pink Dots also served as an opening act for Palmer's band the Dresden Dolls in the early 2000s. The two of them spent years trying to find a time to record an album together, but due to struggles in Palmer's personal life, plans always fell through. Most of the album was recorded in the house of English musician Imogen Heap. On May 19, 2017, Ka-Spel released a four-track studio album called ''High on Station Yellow Moon ...

Despite no new studio releases since 2002, the band performed on tour as recently as 2018. Their music has influenced artists including Marillion, Opeth and Steven Wilson. Music journalist Mark Blake described Camel as "the great unsung heroes of 70s prog rock".
