Rahula College
Rahula College ( Sinhala: රාහුල විද්යාලය ''Rāhulaa Vidyālaya'') (Tamil: ராஹுல வித்தியாலம் ''Rāhula vittiyālam'') is a boys' school in Sri Lanka, located in Matara district. Though it was originally a private Buddhist school, now it is run by the Government of Sri Lanka as a National School. Rahula College has two sections - the Primary section, which serves students from Grade 1 to Grade 5, and the Secondary section, which serves students from Grade 6 to Grade 13. History In 1921, Frederick Gordon Pearce (principal of Mahinda College, Galle), D.T.W. Rajapaksha Ralahami and Sir R.S.S. Gunawardana established the "Buddhists Society". Sri Rahula College ( Sinhala: ශ්රී රාහුල විද්යාලය) is a mixed National school located in Kandy, Sri Lanka founded by Buddhist Theosophical Society led by Colonel Henry Steel Olcott in 1890. It offers primary and secondary education for more than 2,000 students from grade 1 to 13. History During the late nineteenth-century Sinhalese Buddhist revival, Buddhist Theosophical Society under the guidance of Colonel Henry Steel Olcott founded several Buddhist schools around the country to provide English education to Buddhist students who would otherwise have had to go to a missionary school in order to study English. Under that program, they founded a school, Kandy High School, on a piece of land at Katugasthota. Ariophantidae is a taxonomic family of air-breathing land snails and semi-slugs, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the superfamily Helicarionoidea (according to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005). Barys Rahula
Barys Rahula ( be, Барыс Рагуля, Boris Ragula, 1 January 1920 – 22 April 2005) was a Belarusian political activist. He served as a military commander with the pro-German Belarusian Home Defence (BKA) during the Second World War. After the war he studied medicine in the West and became a doctor in Canada. Life Barys Rahula was born near Navahrudak and spent his early years in West Belarus, then part of the Second Polish Republic. In 1938, he became student at the University of Vilnius Vilnius University ( lt, Vilniaus universitetas) is a public research university, oldest in the Baltic states and in Northern Europe outside the United Kingdom (or 6th overall following foundations of Oxford, Cambridge, St. Andrews, Glasgow and ... but was mobilized into the Polish army after the Nazi-Soviet invasion of Poland.
