Rahat Ali (cricketer)
Rahat Ali (; born 12 September 1988) is a Pakistani cricketer who has represented the Pakistan cricket team. He is a left-arm fast-medium bowler and bats right handed. Rahat belongs to a PCB registered club of Multan, PCC (Pioneers Cricket Club) He has represented Multan Tigers, Khan Research Laboratories; and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited. He has selected for One Day International (ODI) series against Sri Lanka in 2012. He made his test debut against South Africa on 1 February 2013. Rahat Ali bowls with a side-on action and is capable of maintaining speeds around 140 km/h, but he insists his focus is more on swing. A left-arm fast bowler, he took to serious cricket during his first year of college, playing for Multan Cricket Club. Rahat Ali has often been a consistent member of the Pakistan test squad. Multan
Multan (; ) is a city in Punjab, Pakistan, on the bank of the Chenab River. Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Lahore Qalandars ( ur, ; pnb, لہور قلندرز; abbreviated as LQ) is a Pakistani professional cricket franchise which plays in the Pakistan Super League, representing the city of Lahore. The home ground of the team is Gaddafi Stadium. The team is owned by Rana Brothers. The team is currently captained by Shaheen Afridi and coached by Aaqib Javed, a former Pakistani cricketer. Lahore Qalandars is owned by Rana brothers. It was the second-most expensive franchise, and one of the few teams sold to an international company. 2020 Pakistan Super League Players Draft
The player draft for the 2020 Pakistan Super League took place at National Cricket Academy, Lahore on 6 December 2019. The first round took place on 3 November 2019 to determine pick order. As this season was scheduled to be held entirely in Pakistan, only the players who were comfortable with playing in Pakistan were included in this draft. Background The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have announced that the team to have the first pick of the draft will be decided by a street cricket game called ''Pugam'' on 3 November 2019. 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy
The 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was a first-class domestic cricket competition that took place in Pakistan from 14 September to 31 December 2019. Habib Bank Limited were the defending champions. However, after the new domestic structure announced by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), six newly formed regional teams played in the tournament. During the opening round of fixtures, a concussion substitute was used for the first time in a domestic cricket match in Pakistan. In the match between Southern Punjab and Central Punjab, Mohammad Saad replaced Usman Salahuddin in Central Punjab's team on the second day of the match. On 31 October 2019, Ahmed Shehzad was fined 50% of his match fee following a drawn match between his side, Central Punjab, and Sindh after his team was found guilty of ball-tampering. 2019 Pakistan Cup
The 2019 Pakistan Cup was the fourth edition of the Pakistan Cup, a List A cricket competition which was contested between five teams. It was held from 2 to 12 April 2019, with all the matches played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) stated that the top performers in the tournament would be considered for the 2019 Cricket World Cup in England. Federal Areas were the defending champions, but they lost their first three matches of the tournament, therefore eliminating them from competition. On 9 April 2019, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa beat Sindh by nine runs to advance to the final of the tournament. The result meant that Baluchistan also progressed to the final, regardless of the outcome of their last match against Federal Areas. Sindh cricket team is a domestic cricket team in Pakistan representing Sindh province. It competes in domestic first-class, List A and T20 cricket competitions, namely the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Pakistan Cup and National T20 Cup. The team is operated by the Sindh Cricket Association.
