Rafique Rajwana
Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana ( pa, ; ur, ; born 20 February 1949) was the 32nd Governor of Punjab, in office since 10 May 2015. He is affiliated with PML-N. He conducted landmark cases, including Mian Nawaz Sharif, Memogate Scandal, Election expenses, Alstom Energy Ltd, Rally Energy Ltd and Liverpool Cotton Association. He was the chairman of the parliamentary committee for appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan in 2014. Early life He is a native of Multan in southern Punjab. Rajwana graduated from Government Emerson College Multan and earned a master's degree in Economics from Forman Christian College University, Lahore. The Governor of Punjab is the appointed head of state of the provincial government in Punjab, Pakistan. Although the Governor is the head of the province on paper, it is largely a ceremonial position; and the main powers lie with the Chief Minister Punjab and Chief Secretary Punjab. Memogate (Pakistan)
The memogate controversy (also Mullen memo controversy) revolves around a memorandum (addressed to Admiral Mike Mullen) ostensibly seeking help of the Obama administration in the wake of the Osama bin Laden raid to avert a military takeover of the civilian government in Pakistan, as well as assisting in a civilian takeover of the government and military apparatus. The memo was delivered in May 2011; Mansoor Ijaz wrote a ''Financial Times'' article in October 2011 bringing initial public attention to the affair. The memo, which at first was questioned to even exist, was published in November, leading to the resignation of Ambassador Haqqani and the continuing Pakistani Supreme Court investigation. Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar ( ur, ) is a Pakistani and former British politician who served as the 31st and 33rd Governor of Punjab, from 2013 to 2015 and from 2018 to 2022. In his first term, he represented the Pakistan Muslim League (N). In his second term, he represented the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He was a member of the Senate of Pakistan from March 2018 until September 2018. From 1997 to 2010 Sarwar was a Member of Parliament in the United Kingdom, representing a constituency in Glasgow, Scotland. Born in Pirmahal, Punjab, Sarwar moved to Scotland in 1976 and built up a chain of cash and carry stores. Forman Christian College University
Forman Christian College is an private liberal arts university in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. It was founded in 1864 and is administered by the Presbyterian Church. The university follows an American-style curriculum. Founded in 1864 by American Presbyterian missionary Charles William Forman, the college was initially named Mission College, and changed its name in 1894 to Forman Christian College, in honor of its founder. Forman served as an associated college of the University of Calcutta until 1947 when it became affiliated with the University of Punjab. In 2004, the government granted it university charter hence providing it with degree awarding authority. The college was initially based in the Rang Mahal in the Walled City of Lahore, which was leased by Charles with the support from foreign missions.
