Radio Ukraine International
Radio Ukraine International ( Ukrainian: ''Всесвітня служба "Радіо Україна"''), abbreviated RUI, is the official international broadcasting station of Ukraine. As a section of Suspilne and working from studios located in the heart of the capital city Kyiv, Radio Ukraine International is developing programming and news broadcasts in five languages ( English, German, Romanian, Russian and Ukrainian). The mission of RUI is to acquaint foreign listeners with all diversity of political and social-economic life, current affairs, cultural history, spiritual life, and music of Ukraine. The broadcasts of RUI are also intended to help Ukrainians living abroad to remain informed and in touch with home. The Romanian language broadcasts are produced and transmitted from studio facilities located in Chernivtsi. Radio Network
There are two types of radio network currently in use around the world: the one-to-many (simplex communication) broadcast network commonly used for public information and mass media, mass-media entertainment, and the two-way radio (Duplex (telecommunications), duplex communication) type used more commonly for public safety and public services such as police, fire, taxicabs, and delivery services. Cell phones are able to send and receive simultaneously by using two different frequencies at the same time. Many of the same components and much of the same basic technology applies to all three. International Broadcasting
International broadcasting, in a limited extent, began during World War I, when German and British stations broadcast press communiqués using Morse code. With the severing of Germany's undersea cables, the wireless telegraph station in Nauen was the country's sole means of long-distance communication. The US Navy Radio Service radio station in New Brunswick, Canada, transmitted the 'Fourteen Points' by wireless to Nauen in 1917. In turn, Nauen station broadcast the news of the abdication of Kaiser Wilhelm II on November 10, 1918. English Language
English is a West Germanic language of the Indo-European language family, with its earliest forms spoken by the inhabitants of early medieval England. Romanian (obsolete spellings: Rumanian or Roumanian; autonym: ''limba română'' , or ''românește'', ) is the official and main language of Romania and the Republic of Moldova. AM Broadcasting
AM broadcasting is radio broadcasting using amplitude modulation (AM) transmissions. It was the first method developed for making audio radio transmissions, and is still used worldwide, primarily for medium wave (also known as "AM band") transmissions, but also on the longwave and shortwave radio bands. The earliest experimental AM transmissions began in the early 1900s. However, widespread AM broadcasting was not established until the 1920s, following the development of vacuum tube receivers and transmitters.
