''Radio 1990'' is a thirty-minute music video showcase program that ran during primetime on weekdays on USA Network. It was intended to compete directly with the major network program ''Friday Night Videos'', as well as MTV and other cable channel shows like ''Night Tracks''. It was a companion to another USA Network program, '' Night Flight'', which featured a combination of music videos, interviews, standup comedy and other performances. The program ran from March 1983 until September 1986, and was hosted by Lisa Robinson and Kathryn Kinley. It also featured celebrity musical guest co-hosts. ''Friday Night Videos'' (later becoming ''Friday Night'' and then ''Late Friday'') is an American music video show that was broadcast on NBC from July 29, 1983 to May 24, 2002. It was the network's attempt to capitalize on the emerging popularity of music videos as seen on MTV. From January 5, 2001 to August 30, 2002, the show changed to Late Friday showcasing new stand-up comedian talent with original video of sets from a stand-up club like setting, with an established comedian as guest host. ''Night Tracks'' is an American television series which ran from 1983 to 1992 on Super Station WTBS (later known as TBS Super Station) on late night weekends. It premiered on Friday, June 3, 1983, and the first music video it aired was "Family Man" by Hall & Oates, from their ''H2O'' album. ''Night Tracks'' was created and produced by Tom Lynch and Gary Biller (Lynch/Biller Productions). Programming ''Night Tracks'' produced shows were (in chronological order): ''Night Tracks'' (1983–1992) ''Night Tracks'' was the main program, composed (until 1989) of two three-hour blocks of music videos. ''Night Flight'' is an online visual-arts magazine and variety television show that originated on cable TV network USA Network. It originally aired from 1981 to 1988 before moving to syndication in the early 1990s. The show relaunched online on nightflight.com in 2015 with original episodes that can be streamed on the subscription channel Night Flight Plus. In April 2018, it returned to cable television as a short form (15 minute) program airing late Friday nights/early Saturday mornings on the network IFC. Paul Stanley (born Stanley Bert Eisen; January 20, 1952) is an American musician who is the co-founder, frontman, rhythm guitarist and co-lead vocalist of the hard rock band Kiss.
