Rachel Corsie
Rachel Louise Corsie (born 17 August 1989) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a defender for Aston Villa W.F.C in the FA Women’s Super League (WSL). She is also the captain of the Scotland national team. She previously played for Glasgow City in the Scottish Women's Premier League, English FA WSL club Notts County and Canberra United in the Australian W-League. Corsie made her senior national team debut against France in March 2009 and has since amassed over 100 appearances for the national team. Club career Glasgow City, 2008–2014 In July 2008 Corsie joined Glasgow City from Aberdeen Ladies at age 18. In her first season with City she contributed 10 goals as the club won a domestic treble. The Women's Super League (WSL), currently known as the Barclays Women's Super League (BWSL) for sponsorship reasons, is the highest league of women's football in England. Established in 2010, it is run by the Football Association and features twelve fully professional teams. The league replaced the FA Women's Premier League National Division as the highest level of women's football in England, with eight teams competing in the inaugural 2011 season. The Portland Thorns FC is an American professional women's soccer team based in Portland, Oregon. Established in 2012, the team began play in 2013 in the then-eight-team National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), which receives support from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). Laura Harvey (born 15 May 1980) is an English football manager and former player who currently manages OL Reign of the American National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). She holds USSF "A" and UEFA "A" coaching licenses. Harvey previously managed the United States women's national under-20 soccer team, Utah Royals FC, Arsenal, and Birmingham City. She was also an assistant with the United States women's national soccer team and involved with the youth set-up of England women's national football team. Harvey was named FAWSL Coach of the Year in 2011 after guiding Arsenal to win the league title, FA Cup, and Continental Cup. She was named NWSL Coach of the Year in 2014, 2015, and 2021. Meadow Lane Stadium is a football stadium in Nottingham, England. It is the home ground of Notts County, who have played there since it opened in 1910. Edward Wolecki Black (born 13 March 1965) is a Scottish football player and manager. He was director of football at West of Scotland Football League club Gartcairn Juniors and has also previously managed Forfar West End, Lochee United, Montrose, Edusport Academy and Airdrieonians in men's football, and women's teams Glasgow City, Motherwell and Celtic.
