Raccordo Autostradale RA6
Raccordo autostradale 6 (RA 6), managed by ANAS, is a motorway in Central Italy and allows a quick connection of the SS 3 bis (also known as E45) near the city of Perugia with the Autostrada del Sole where the route begins in the locality of Bettolle, municipality of Sinalunga ( SI). Bettolle is a ''frazione'' of Sinalunga, in the province of Siena, Tuscany, Italy. Of ancient origin, it was settled by the Etruscans, as attested by the numerous archaeological findings. ANAS
''Anas'' is a genus of dabbling ducks. It includes the pintails, most teals, and the mallard and its close relatives. It formerly included additional species but following the publication of a molecular phylogenetic study in 2009 the genus was split into four separate genera. The genus now contains 31 living species. The name ''Anas'' is the Latin for "duck". Systematics The genus ''Anas'' was introduced by the Swedish naturalist Carl Linnaeus in 1758 in the tenth edition of his '' Systema Naturae''. ''Anas'' is the Latin word for a duck. The Autostrada A1, nicknamed ''Autostrada del Sole'' ("Sun Motorway"), is the oldest European Highway and the most important in Italy. Sinalunga
Sinalunga is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Siena, in the Tuscany region of central Italy. History Aside from scanty prehistoric findings, the oldest historical remains date from the 8th century BC, when Sinalunga was perhaps an Etruscan settlement under the control of Chiusi, with some temple at the top of the hill where Sinalunga lies. The current town grew up around the medieval castle called ''Castello delle Ripe'', attracting people on the hill after the Etruscan land reclamation works in the area were gradually abandoned.
