The R54 is a provincial route in South Africa that connects Potchefstroom with Villiers via Vereeniging. Route The R54 begins at a junction with the N12 National Route approximately 9 kilometres north-east of Potchefstroom, North West. It heads eastwards, crossing into Gauteng Province and meeting the R500 Road. 62 km from Potchefstroom, the R54 passes over the N1 Kroonvaal Toll Route and enters the Vaal Triangle. North of Vanderbijlpark (south of Sebokeng; just after the N1 overbridge), the R54 meets the R553 Road and the R28 Route. The R28 Route stops cosigning with the R553 Road southwards and begins cosigning with the R54 Road eastwards towards Vereeniging, bypassing Vanderbijlpark. After 6 km, the R54 becomes its own road eastwards as Houtkop Road by way of a left turn while the R28 turns to the south-east towards Vereeniging Central. The R28 is a provincial route in Gauteng, South Africa that connects Krugersdorp with Vereeniging via Randfontein. The R28 used to connect with Pretoria, but that section of the road is now part of the N14. Route The R28 begins at a 4-way intersection with the N14 national route and the M47 Metropolitan Route north-east of Krugersdorp, Mogale City Local Municipality (at Cradlestone Mall; midway between Krugersdorp and Muldersdrift) (north-west of Roodepoort). The R28 used to proceed north-east as the route to Pretoria, but that section of the road was given to the N14 national route. Three Rivers East
Three Rivers East is a suburb of Vereeniging, Gauteng. The suburb lies on the easternmost end of the city, bordered by the Sugarbush river to the south and east and by an eco estate called Summerview Estate to the West. Three Rivers East is home to many people working in the nearby Johannesburg due to easy access to the R59 Freeway linking the two cities. It is also home to some of Vereeniging's wealthiest families and together with the suburb of Three Rivers Proper contribute to the majority of the tax income for the local municipality. Many of these families live in either Fisheagle Street, or Heron Avenue, next to the Sugarbush river. The suburb is currently being converted into the Three Rivers East Security Estate. Three Rivers Proper is a suburb of Vereeniging, Gauteng, Vereeniging, Gauteng, South Africa. The suburb is bordered by Three Rivers East to the east and Three Rivers North to the north.
