R36 Road (South Africa)
The R36 is a provincial route in South Africa that connects the N1 (between Louis Trichardt and Polokwane) with Ermelo, via Tzaneen and Lydenburg. It is co-signed with the N4 for 8 kilometres between Machadodorp and Patattanek, with a tollgate on this section. It used to extend further south past Ermelo to Amersfoort, but that section is now designated as part of the N11. Waterval Boven
Waterval Boven (officially known as Emgwenya) is a small town situated on the edge of the Escarpment on the banks of the Elands River above the 75m Elands Falls on the railway line from Pretoria to Maputo in Mpumalanga, South Africa. Hence the name, which is Dutch for "above the waterfall". It is the sister town of Waterval Onder which is at the base of the Escarpment below the waterfall. The R37 is a provincial route in South Africa that connects Polokwane with Nelspruit (Mbombela) via Burgersfort and Lydenburg. Route The R37 begins in Polokwane Central (Capital of Limpopo), at a junction with the two one-way streets that form the R101 Route (Grober Street & Thabo Mbeki Street), just west of the R101's intersection with the R71 Route. It begins by going southwards as Kerk Street to form a junction with the Polokwane Eastern Bypass ( N1 National Route) and become the western border of the Polokwane Game Reserve. The R37 heads southwards for 30 kilometres as the Chuniespoort Pass to meet the northern terminus of the R579 Road. Sabie
Sabie is a forestry town situated on the banks of the Sabie River in Mpumalanga, South Africa. The name Sabie is derived from the siSwati word "Ulusaba" which means "fearful river" because the river was once teeming with dangerous Nile crocodile. The word Ulusaba was modernized by the Afrikaner settlers who changed it from Ulusaba (siSwati) into the Afrikaans "Sabie" . The town was started after H.T. Glynn and J.C. Ingle found gold there and formed the Glynns-Lydenburg Gold Mining Company. Sabie is located 360 kilometres east of Johannesburg and 64 kilometres west of the popular Kruger National Park. The N4 is a national route in South Africa that runs from Skilpadshek on the Botswana border, past Rustenburg, Pretoria, eMalahleni and Mbombela, to Komatipoort on the Mozambique border. It forms the South African section of the Trans-Kalahari Corridor, which runs from Walvis Bay to Maputo, meaning that it links the east and west coasts of Southern Africa. Since the completion of the A2 through Botswana, the entire Corridor is now a world-class standard highway; it features at least one carriageway in each direction of high-speed traffic plus a paved shoulder for its entire length.
