R334 Road (South Africa)
The R334 is a Regional Route in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality of South Africa that connects the N2 west of Port Elizabeth to the N2 at Coega north of Port Elizabeth via Uitenhage. The middle section of the route is also designated as the M20 metropolitan route (labelled on road signage). Route The R334 begins at a junction with the N2 National Route north-east of Port Elizabeth (7.5 km south-west of Colchester), heading west-south-west. It is initially co-signed with the R102 for 10 kilometres before the R334 becomes its own road westwards named Daniel Pienaar Street. It runs through the northern parts of Motherwell, where it forms a four-way-junction with the R335. 16 kilometres after the R335 junction, the R334 crosses the R75 to enter Uitenhage (Kariega). The R102 is a Regional Route in South Africa. It is the route designation for all old sections of the N2, thus it is a discontinuous road that resumes in areas where a new N2 has been constructed. Route Western Cape and Eastern Cape In the Cape Town area, the R102 starts in the Central Business District and runs through Woodstock, Maitland, Goodwood and Parow before it reaches Bellville. From Bellville, it turns in a southeasterly direction and goes on the outskirts of the city through Kuils River, Eerste River and onwards to Somerset West where it merges with the existing N2. At Mossel Bay it divides to the east again, passing through all the towns between there and George. Van Stadens Wild Flower Reserve
The Van Stadens River Wild Flower Reserve ( af, Van Stadens-veldblomreservaat) near Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa, is one of the oldest nature reserves in the country. Location The park covers 600 hectares and lies 40 km west of Port Elizabeth, on an old stretch at the top of Van Stadens Pass. The Van Stadens River forms the western border, the N2 road runs through the area, and from here one has a good view of the gorge of the River, the Van Stadens Bridge, and northeast toward the Lady Slipper Trail. The reserve was founded in 1951 and is owned by the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality. Uses The main purpose of the reserve is to grow unique, indigenous plants, but it is also used as a centre for environmental education. The M10 (sometimes referred to as the R368) is a metropolitan route in the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality in South Africa that connects Port Elizabeth and Uitenhage. It is an alternative route to the R75 Route for travel between Port Elizabeth and Uitenhage. Route The M10 begins at a junction with the R102 (Govan Mbeki Avenue) and the M5 (Mount Road) in North End (just north of the Port Elizabeth City Centre), heading north-west. It runs along Harrower Road, then Stanford Road (meeting the M8 Kempston Road), to cross the N2 Highway and pass through the southern part of Bethelsdorp. The R75 is a provincial route in Eastern Cape, South Africa that connects Graaff-Reinet with Gqeberha via Despatch, Kariega and Jansenville. Route Nelson Mandela Bay The R75 begins at the intersection with the R102 (Govan Mbeki Road) in Sydenham, just north of the Gqeberha city centre as a dual-carriage roadway and heads in a north-westerly direction as ''Commercial Road''. It intersects with the N2 highway in the suburb of Korsten and after crossing the N2, it becomes ''Uitenhage Road''. The R335 is a Regional Route in South Africa that connects Nelson Mandela Bay in the south to Somerset East to the north via Addo. Route Its southern origin is at the N2 highway off-ramp between Wells Estate and St Georges Strand near Port Elizabeth. It heads in a northwesterly direction intersecting with the R102 (to Swartkops and Port Elizabeth), M17 (to Motherwell and Ibhayi) and R334 (to Coega) and passing through Wells Estate, Markman and Motherwell. It then heads north to reach Addo. Just after passing the town, the R336 is given off to the west. From Addo onwards, the town follows the western border of the Addo Elephant National Park.
