Rørvik is a port town and administrative centre in the municipality of Nærøysund in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is on the eastern side of the Vikna archipelago on the island of Inner-Vikna. The town has a population (2022) of 3,385 and a population density of .The municipality has a population (2022) of 9,840. Prior to 2020, the town served as the administrative centre of the old Vikna Municipality. There are several museums in Rørvik. The Norwegian Coastal Museum, with its center for coastal culture and vessel protection, is located here. Rørvik Church
Rørvik Church ( no, Rørvik kirke) was a parish church of the Church of Norway in Vikna municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the town of Rørvik on the island of Inner-Vikna. It was one of the churches for the Vikna parish which is part of the Namdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The modern, concrete and glass church was built in a long church design in 2019 using plans drawn up by the architect Ogmund Sørli. The church seats about 250 people, but can be expanded up to about 400 people. History The first church in Rørvik was built in 1896 after the people of the village of Rørvik asked for a church in their village since the nearest church, Garstad Church, was a long boat trip away. The government agreed and it was built. The new church was consecrated on 27 October 1896 by Bishop Johannes Skaar. Nærøysund is a municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Namdalen. The municipality was established on 1 January 2020 after the merger of the old municipalities of Vikna and Nærøy. The municipality is unique in that it has two equal administrative centre: Kolvereid and Rørvik. The other main population centres of Nærøysund include Abelvær, Foldereid, Gravvik, Ottersøy, Salsbruket, Steine, Torstad, Austafjord, Garstad, and Valøya. Hurtigruten
''Hurtigruten'' (), formally Kystruten Bergen-Kirkenes ("coastal route Bergen- Kirkenes"), is a Norwegian public coastal route transporting passengers that travel locally, regionally and between the ports of call, and also cargo between ports north of Tromsø. Inner-Vikna
Inner-Vikna (sometimes ''Indre Vikna'') is the largest of the three major islands in the municipality of Nærøysund in Trøndelag county, Norway. The island is located in the eastern part of the municipality and it includes the village of Rørvik, the administrative centre of Vikna. Norwegian County Road 770 runs across the island, and also passing by Rørvik Airport, Ryum, then it continues over the Nærøysund Bridge and Marøysund Bridge to connect the island to the mainland.
