Øvre Saltdal Church () is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Saltdal Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Røkland. It is one of two churches for the Saltdal parish which is part of the Salten prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The red, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1938 using plans drawn up by the architect Andreas W. Nygaard. The church seats about 200 people. History A royal resolution from 27 August 1937 authorized the construction of a new church in the upper Saltdal valley. The church was built the following year in 1938. Nordland Line
The Nordland Line (, ) is a railway line between Trondheim and Bodø, Norway. It is the longest in Norway and lacks electrification. The route runs through Trøndelag and Nordland counties, carrying a combination of commuter, long-haul passenger and freight trains. From Trondheim Central Station to Steinkjer Station the line is most heavily used, with hourly services by the Trøndelag Commuter Rail. There are three branch lines—the Stavne–Leangen Line at Leangen Station, the Meråker Line at Hell Station and the Namsos Line at Grong Station. The section from Trondheim to Hell opened on 22 July 1882. The next section, initially the Hell–Sunnan Line, opened in stages between 1902 and 1905. European Route E06
European route E6 (, , or simply E6) is the main north–south thoroughfare through Norway as well as the west coast of Sweden. It is long and runs from the southern tip of Sweden at Trelleborg, into Norway and through almost all of the country north to the Arctic Circle and Nordkapp. The route ends in Kirkenes close to the Russian border. Route From south to north, the E6 runs through Trelleborg, Malmö, Helsingborg, Halmstad, Gothenburg, Svinesund in Sweden, before crossing the border at the Svinesund Bridge into Norway. It then passes Halden, Sarpsborg, Moss, Vestby to the capital Oslo. North of this, it passes by Gardermoen, Hamar, Lillehammer, Dombås, Oppdal, Melhus to Trondheim. Rognan is a village and the administrative centre of Saltdal Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located at the head of the Saltdal Fjord (the innermost part of the Skjerstad Fjord). It is located about north of the village of Røkland.
