Klaus Rainer Röhl (1 December 1928 – 30 November 2021) was a German journalist and author, best known as founder, owner, publisher and editor-in-chief of ''konkret'', the most influential magazine on the German political left from the 1960s to the early 1970s. He later became critical of communism and leftist tendencies. Journalism Known as "K2R", Röhl founded the left-wing monthly magazine ''Studentenkurier'' in 1955. Röhl had been a secret Communist since 1951, and the magazine survived due to funding from the Communist East German regime. In 1957, the magazine was renamed ''konkret'' and rose to prominence in the 1960s as the primary magazine of the Außerparlamentarische Opposition and the German student movement. Maria Röhl
Maria Christina Röhl (26 July 1801 – 5 July 1875) was a Swedish portrait artist. She made portraits of many of the best known people in Sweden in the first half of the 19th century. Her paintings are exhibited at the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm. The Swedish Royal library has a collection of 1800 portraits by her. She was a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts (1843) and an official portrait artist of the royal court. Biography Maria Röhl was born in Stockholm in a well-off family. Elisabeth R̦hl; n̩e Elisabeth Gohlke ( 22 August 1888 Р21 September 1930) was one of the first German women politicians. Her second marriage was to the fellow politician Emil Kirschmann, as a result of which sources after 1922 generally identify her as Elisabeth Kirschmann-R̦hl. Life and politics Elisabeth R̦hl was born in Landsberg an der Warthe, the daughter of a carpenter called Theodor Gohlke and his wife Henriette. Her elder sister was Marie Juchacz. Christoph Röhl (born 1967 in Brighton) is a British-German filmmaker. Early life and education Christoph Röhl was born in Brighton to an English father, the historian John C. G. Röhl, and a German mother Rosemarie von Berg. He read History and German at the University of Manchester achieving a First Class Double Honours Degree. Career Christoph Röhl studied film directing and scriptwriting at the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin. His first short films received various international awards including the National German Film Award. After a period directing films for the BBC and ITV, he was approached by Thomas Hoegh, a Norwegian investor and entrepreneur, to set up a film school in London. Charles Roehl
Charles F. Roehl (June 16, 1857 – September 19, 1927) was a pioneer and businessman of Bellingham, Washington. He was considered one of the most well-established businessmen of the city, influencing its industrial growth through his mercantile and real estate businesses. Roehl came to Bellingham Bay in 1883. He acquired a piece of land from the government and bought a lot on Elk street. Together with his brother, William Roehl, Roehl purchased a stock of alcohol in San Francisco, and in 1884 they became wholesale and retail merchants. That year, an economic depression in Whatcom (later Bellingham) started, forcing the brothers to leave the business and the city for some time. The New Chronology is an alternative chronology of the ancient Near East developed by English Egyptologist David Rohl and other researchers beginning with ''A Test of Time: The Bible - from Myth to History'' in 1995. It contradicts mainstream Egyptology by proposing a major revision of the established Egyptian chronology, in particular by re-dating Egyptian kings of the Nineteenth through Twenty-fifth Dynasties, bringing forward conventional dating by up to 350 years. Edwin Clement Rohl (July 15, 1908 – December 3, 1996) was an American farmer and politician. Born in the town of Troy, in St. Croix County, Wisconsin, Rohl owned a farm. Michelle Rohl (born November 12, 1965, in Madison, Wisconsin) is a retired female track and field athlete from the United States, who competed in race walking. She represented her native country at three consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1992.
