Rémi Taffin
Rémi Taffin (born 14 March 1975) is a French engineer who is the technical director of French firm Oreca. He was previously the engine technical director for the French Formula 1 team Alpine F1 and Renault Sport. He graduated in mechanical engineering from the École supérieure des techniques aéronautiques et de construction automobile (ESTACA). Taffin began his career in motorsport when he became a racing engineer in 1998 in the Signature stable in Formula 3. The following year, he got a job at Renault and worked with their clients such as Arrows, Benetton Formula, British American Racing (BAR) and Renault F1. Until 2009, Taffin was an engine race engineer for Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button, Heikki Kovalainen, Jos Verstappen and Ricardo Zonta, among others. Jenson Alexander Lyons Button (born 19 January 1980) is a British racing driver. He won the 2009 Formula One World Championship when he drove for the Brawn GP team. After his F1 career, he became champion of the 2018 season of the Super GT Series alongside Naoki Yamamoto, with whom he shared a Honda racing car at Team Kunimitsu. Ricardo Luiz Zonta (born March 23, 1976) is a Brazilian professional racing driver. He currently competes full-time in the Brazilian Stock Car Pro Series, driving the No. 10 Toyota Corolla E210 for RCM Motorsport. Early career Born in Curitiba, Brazil, Zonta began karting in 1987, winning his first race shortly thereafter. The following year, he was runner-up for the Curitiba Karting Championship, and in 1991, he won the title. Johannes Franciscus Verstappen (; born 4 March 1972) is a former (Formula One) racing driver. Verstappen was the German Formula Three champion and Masters of Formula Three winner in 1993. In Formula 1, Verstappen raced for seven different teams during eight seasons. From 1994 through 2003, he scored two podium finishes in his career, the first Dutch F1 racer to do so. British American Racing
British American Racing (BAR) was a Formula One constructor that competed in the sport from 1999 to 2005. BAR began by acquiring Tyrrell, and used Supertec engines for their first year. Subsequently, they formed a partnership with Honda which lasted for the next six years. The team was named after British American Tobacco plc (BAT), which owned and sponsored it in order to display its Lucky Strike and 555 brands. The headquarters were in Brackley, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom. In mid-November 2004, Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda purchased 45% of the team, and in September 2005, purchased the remaining 55% share to become the sole owner.
